UVA GAA - Suspension disqualifies?

<p>So, my academic record is spotty at best due to a bunch of personal issues. I’m planning on transferring to UVA from NVCC next spring using the GAA. I’ve kept up a solid track record at NVCC, but I also have a suspension (called an academic dismissal at the other school) on my record from a different university.</p>

<p>Anyone have any idea as to whether a suspension will outright disqualify you from getting in? The GAA says the University reserves the right to deny admission to students with suspensions. Just curious as to whether I should bother aiming for UVA with this on my record or if they’ll just trash my app when they see it.</p>

<p>I don’t know the answer but usually when colleges talk about suspensions, they mean disciplinary suspensions (such as a weapons offense).</p>
