Hello, I am planning to live in a single room however I see one big flaw NO BATHROOM in the dorm.
The issue is that I pray so it will be a big headache going from the outside bathroom then make wudu and then return to my room every day. I cannot get my own apartment because I cannot support myself and I don’t want to live with other people (I am an introvert). So please share how you guys deal with this issue.
-Thanks for the help !!
I assume you are living on The Lawn or the East Range or West Range? I think every other residence hall has internal bathrooms.
This student can’t possibly be a UVA student. Everyone knows there are singles besides the ones on the Lawn.
Minicake, look at all the options on the UVA Housing website. There are many.
No, I am not a student but transferring in the future. I know they have bathrooms in the hall, but want to know if they had a bathroom in a single bedroom. Like how some roommates have bathrooms in their rooms, can it be possible to have one in a single bedroom?
Yea, I have checked and there is no bathroom in a single bedroom so that means the bathrooms are located in the hall which I didn’t want.
No, I am not a student but planning to transfer.
You needed TWO threads five minutes apart? The UVA website is really very good and can answer a lot of questions.
Well I just got this account today,I didn’t know my way around and someone recommend me to do one here
Is that an issue?
Ok I will ask them
A very large percentage of students live off grounds after the first year. I’m sure you could find other quiet people interested in sharing an apartment and you would have much more control over having an environment conducive to your needs in an apartment.
You would like a private room with a private bath in the dorm? I have never known any campus to have that set-up for undergraduates.
I am not clear about why a hall bathroom would interfere with your daily prayers. The bathroom could potentially be the same number of steps away from your room as your home bathroom is from your bedroom. Moreover, you might not even be in your dorm at many of the prayer times—you could be elsewhere on campus.
