UVA Nursing/MBA or Law Degree?

Just really wondering if anyone knows.
Is it possible at all to get my BSN at UVA, then apply to Darden Business School or Law School and somehow manage to balance those 2 degrees? In other words, what kind of career can I get if I get my BSN and go to Darden or Law School??
Is this even possible despite the fact that they are 2 very irrelevant fields?

Or would I be better off going to Grad school and get my MSN?

While there are exceptions, MBA programs generally want to see some experience in applicants. I think going straight from the School of Nursing to Darden would be difficult. If you worked for a few years, it would probably be easier.

Again, there are exceptions.

Thank you for the helpful info Dean J,
I did here that Grad Schools in general prefer applicants with experience in their fields.
Would being an undergrad student at UVA help me in the admissions process to Darden, Law or the SON Grad School?

Honest suggestion (not meant to offend): why don’t you get to college and figure out how things work before exploring these options? Do you know what law school is like or what graduates of UVa law do? Do you know what business school is like or what Darden grads do? Why are you majoring in nursing? If you want to go to law school, your undergraduate does not matter in admissions. Same for business schools, but you’ll most likely need several years of good work experience to get into top programs, and a BSN doesn’t set you up for the kind of work experience they’d be looking for (consulting, finance, other management jobs).

I’m sure that there certain career paths where a BSN combined with a JD or MBA would be extremely valuable, but your general na

Be very careful about Law school. It isn’t something you should go into on a whim. My sister-in-law did that and ended up hating it, dropping out after first year, and finally finding out what she wanted to do. She’ll be a nursing student at UVA next year. Just a quick story that might help.

Oh, and owing something like 30 thousand in loans. Not a fun debt to pay off for something that you hated (well, I guess it’s no fun either way).
