UVA Test Scores

UVA is my top school and my test scores sent 7 days after the early action deadline…will that automatically be grounds to reject my application?

Don’t worry!

Someone actually from UVA may step in to answer this, but from everything I’ve read from UVA (my D is also applying EA), it definitely will not cause them to automatically reject your application.

They might not look at your application until later in the EA round than some others, and if someone’s materials are really late I suppose that could make a deferral to the regular round a little more likely. But if your test scores are there this month they will consider them and your application at some point.

My own daughter’s scores were sent 7 days before the EA deadline, which is a little later than they should have been, which is why I checked what I could on this exact question.

We probably won’t see those test scores for several weeks. We will put your file on hold until they arrive. This happens all the time. So many people assume the College Board responds immediately to score report requests.
