No unofficial transcript yet, I applied for UW Seattle Comp Sci. Does it matter what major we are at this point, that’s a separate process right?

@gilmorej of course! I’ve been pouring over my mailbox since Monday when mine loaded. Another disappointing trip to the box today… Sigh…

@Anton164 don’t despair! You look like you’re on the right track with that link. People have been saying their unofficials have been loading at random times since Monday, so I’m sure yours will happen at some point today or this week if you happen to be in this “batch”. I checked mine ever hour and then at 1658 it appeared. also, the major is a separate application process, I believe this transc

Hi everyone. I’ve been lurking in here for a couple weeks while I impatiently wait for an acceptance letter. I decided it was time to join the conversation.
I can’t seem to find an unofficial transcript when I log in to myuw. Is it under a specific tab?

@hope2xfer welcome to the support group lol. I love this thread. Go to your UWnetid, then admissions tab on the left hand side, then click after you’ve been admitted, and then hit unofficial transcript. If it says error, give it time and keep watching! If it loads, join the premature celebration!!!

Just opened the mailbox today and started shouting and jumping in excitement at the sight of a yellowish envelope. Upon closer inspection, it was just some advertisement for home insurance. Well played…

A kind of dumb off topic question just occurred to me, how have you guys been applying to your majors? My intent is Biology. I feel like I should know how to do this, but I can’t find anything on the Bio dept website that doesn’t lead me straight to Advising.

What I want to know is how have people been getting notified from their departments before UW! I feel like I’m well behind the curve on this one…

So I was looking into how to apply to the biology major and it said that you do walk in appointments and meet with an advisor (it should be done within three weeks of quarter). I’m assuming reason there isn’t much material on this for majors is because it’s not quite as competitive other majors. For instance I know certain engineering students can start applying June 19th. I hope this was kind of helpful.

That was helpful! I have been using these worksheets for a couple weeks now to figure out my desired classes, but I hadn’t thought to read the top portion to its entirety, haha thanks for pointing that out for me!!

What I ascertain is that we essentially have 3 weeks as Juniors to declare a Major. That’s a bit stressful as that declaration seems dependent on our acceptance to the department; is that more or less correct?

Sorry for the deviation from the content guys, I think we could all use a little distraction from all the anticipation!

Still no update through mail or transcript site for me yet Been trying for a few days now. Not sure how I feel about this.

Try to take your mind off UW admission. Admit or Reject. Nothing you can do at this point. Life goes on whatever the outcome. Stop caring and putting too much emotion into this and you will be happier trust me. This applies to alot of things in life too. At least summer is here! Time 2 get laid and party it up :)

Also do you guys know if I get accepted into UW Seattle as a JUNIOR Transfer student and don’t get into my selected program. Can I just take classes at UW towards a similar major? Or do they require junior transfer students go into a major?

Transcript loads with high school information, nothing about my college coursework. GPA 3.6 at time of application. Majoring in biology, undecided which one specifically.
