@bdubbers Hello! I also applied EE. Don’t we know general admission result until getting major decision???

@bended I read that the decision will be made by the majors you have applied to first. I got this info from the abet report here: https://www.ee.washington.edu/operations/advising/abet/EESelfStudy2013.pdf
Pages 14-15. Also on page 13 it says it typically takes about a month from when the app closes to find out from them so maybe were a bit premature in worrying right now.

I apologize for my question getting out of topic… but…
Has anyone here heard or seen people who get rejected after they get accepted?

I am just curious… Sorry for any inconvenience.

I don’t know if I am the case that u are talking about. I did accepted by the Chemistry department for undergraduate transfer on April. However, I received a rejection form the UW admission office on myuw page few days ago. I was wondering if anyone in this forum has the same case like me. Is is normal for UW application progress? Congratulation to those who has been admitted.

Hello people! I have been lurking for awhile now and have also still not gotten a response back from the ol’ UW! I am applying as an out of state transfer student and am trying to get into the Anthropology program. I have a 3.77 gpa but had trouble in High School and with the beginning of my college career but got myself on track the last few years. I am wondering if there are any Anthropology Majors out there that still haven’t gotten word back, and if there are any of you that also had trouble in their educational past that have gotten in despite these set backs let me know!

another one rejected. Good luck to everyone else! Someone out there has got to be accepted

Rejected as well. I mean I applied for a competitive major (biochemistry) and was trying to transfer from a four year institution. Odds were not exactly in my favor. Right now, I am looking at other schools like Western for winter quarter. Anyway, good luck to everyone else who is still waiting. And congratulations to those accepted!

I got rejected.

And I got into freakin’ Cornell. I already committed to University of Oklahoma a while back, though. Super excited to everyone who’s going to UW though! My dream school :)

I didn’t get in either. I just checked the status of my application online. I’m going to begin the appeal process this week though.

@vivianshmibbian How did you check? Is it on myuw?

@vivianshmibbian never mind I just checked…

@vivianshmibbian @xoxoyazyxoxo how do you check status? Are you referring to the general application or department application? Thanks!

How do you activate a MyUW account if you are a UW Bothell applicant? Does the Office of Admissions send you a link? Also, will I be notified when UW Bothell receives my transcript?

@nevaeh104 when you click the application status. where you can see like SAT scores, your address. It should have a statement. It typically says thanks for applying and then it should have the decision following after it now.

Just got accepted into aerospace engineering! So happy!!!

Well, sadly, I didn’t get accepted, but on the bright side, I still have UC Davis.
I honestly think that they didn’t accept a lot of oos transfers and took mainly in state transfers, which is the norm for colleges. Oh well, at least I only get 7.5k in loans as opposed to 30k+ if I went to UW hahah.

Congratz to everyone who got in though!

@xoxoyazyxoxo Do you mean when you click on your application? Mine still says “thanks for your application. We will inform you by mail…blah blah blah”. Is that what changed on yours?

@nevaeh104 yeppp

Weird how USC accepted me and UW didn’t. Isn’t USC harder to get into?

I have not heard yet. Transcript does not load. Is anyone else waiting to hear? I am going to the U of O transfer student session next week to sign up for classes, but U of W is my first choice. I dislike the late notification date from U of W.
