Hello, and welcome fellow Wahoo hopefuls!

I understand that a rejection letter to the university of your dreams may seem like a monumental pit fall, but have heart! I was the most hopeless secondary student: I went to a private high school in Northern VA, and graduated with a 2.4 GPA (I cringe just thinking about it). The issue was not my ability, per say, but lack of direction. I enrolled at Northern Virginia Community College that fall (because honestly, could I have been accepted anywhere else?) and I immediately fell in love with my classes and actually was inspired (gasp!) to learn. I definitely grew as a student and as a person, and received my Associates degree last fall with a 3.5 GPA.

Last night, I was informed through the UVA SIS that I was accepted to UVA (NOT under the Articulation Agreement, mind you), and I could not be more ecstatic! My decision to attend and put forth a full effort at NVCC helped me to grow in ways that I do not believe could have been possible anywhere else. Not only did it give me a taste for rigorous collegiate academics, but it opened the doors to schools that I never in my wildest dreams believed I could attend.

Think about it. It may be exactly what you are looking for.
