Value of a minor in Commerce

Currently attending university in Canada as an international student, majoring in Political Science and minoring in Commerce (or rather, Business). I’m currently in my third year and my family apparently has funds lasting me only until the end of my fourth year.

I have just done research on my graduation requirements and realized that I would not be able to graduate in just 4 years (if I were to proceed with a minor in Commerce). But yet it seems like a Commerce minor would be appealing to prospective employers according to some friends of mine.

Is a Commerce minor a big deal with employers (especially international organizations, financial institutions and the foreign affairs department) these days?

So the question is, should I go ahead and drop the Commerce minor?
