Value of a Spanish 4 at Baylor

Well hi, it’s my first post on these forums (yay)

and I hope this question hasn’t been asked yet (if it has please just give me a link)

but…

Right now I am pulling a B in Spanish 3 and I think it unwise to continue to Spanish 4, but I’m questioning if it would harm my chances of getting into Baylor (for the medical program).

Read the Baylor website and see what they REQUIRE for admission, and what they RECOMMEND for admission. Do what they REQUIRE. Look at your own personal life and decide which of the items that they RECOMMEND are truly meaningful. Lots of people don’t do four years of languages.

And, be sure to find a number of colleges and universities that are interesting to you, where you would be happy to study for four (or more) years, and that you can afford to attend without mortgaging your future: i.e. be sure to include some financial safeties in your list. Right now you like Baylor, and you think you want Medicine. Give yourself options in case you change your mind along the way.

Wishing you all the best.
