I volunteer at a lot of non-profit organizations and this one is of tutoring students STEM subjects. Should I apply to be positions such as Math subject VP and junior CEO, COO, etc? The time commitment is around 5-10hr/week. I want to be, but I’m not sure if there are any benefits at all for me. I’m not looking for just my gain, but want to make sure that the long hours I spend on this will be worth it/ I will learn from it / help me in college admissions.
Are you doing these things because they are something YOU are interested in doing…or are you doing these things to pad your resume for college applications?
I would strongly suggest you do things that you truly have an interest In doing.
