Vanderbilt Class of 2028 Official Thread

Curious what the people who are seeing fin aid officers have in common. What major are you applying to, when did you apply, etc.?

I think we shouldn’t look too deep into the financial aid counselor. it would be awful to assume it means acceptance and then get waitlisted or rejected. we have less than a day until they release the decisions.

We (my brother) applied for aid and we usually get it because of need. We do NOT have a FA counselor on our page. :frowning: So after tomorrow, I’ll let you know the decision, for the sake of astrology fun.

Owen is grad school right?

Yes, the Owen Graduate School of Management as far as I know.

For the people with an FA counselor, did you guys apply for aid and complete the checklist by the FA deadline (2/10)?

guys is it still allowing you to upload documents for me it is, by documents I mean the one on both the financial folder and the main admission folder.

im able to see the drop down and all that but as for actually submitting something im not sure

yes to both and I’ve been able to see a Commodore ID on the tax form window for months. I don’t think it means anything at all.

Here’s to everyone’s tomorrow! In, out, waitlisted…it has been a growth opportunity. D24 and I are grateful for it all. These are the days that build character. Sleep well and best wishes from California! :sunglasses:

Those are inspiring words to follow. For me, I’m happy to never have to experience this emotional chaos again after my S24. New York 🫨

was there ever a withdraw option? I have two addresses (Permanent and mailing)+ the visits option. No FA counselor associated though :frowning: even though I need FA. Int’l here unsure if other int’l have FA officers associated with their applications. I submitted the ISFAA and tax docs although my FA portal just says CSS received (Feb 6) :skull:

Int’l here, I also don’t have any FA Officer assigned for me.

My student only has two more results, including Vandy. Thus far, portal astrology has not proven itself to be useful. It’s still fun though. Knowing that only 4 percent of applicants are getting in this round, I think it could be a crapshoot. I doubt if anyone who is here, who applied, is not qualified. I’d still like to know the stats of those who have FA officers vs those who don’t.

FTR, my S24 does not have an FA officer and as far as I can tell his portal hasn’t changed. Stats: 3.9uw/4.33w, 36 ACT, multiple APs (one 4, rest 5), multiple leadership roles, varsity athlete, many state/national awards. Applied a&s.

Today is the last decision my son is waiting for. I’m so ready to move on but know I’ve prayed for all of you hoping for good news today. College admittance doesn’t define you and no matter where you end up going, you will succeed because ingrained in each of you is hardwork, dedication, commitment and discipline, even if you’ve been suffering from senioritis.

Best of luck today! I hope you open that decision and see, ā€œCongratulations!ā€ If you don’t, life will will turn out as planned and you will be a world changer! :two_hearts:

What are the chances that Vandy mails packages to accepted students? I see something coming today from Informed delivery but it doesn’t say who it’s from.

Daughter is similar, 4.0uw 4.45w, 35ACT, 7+AP classes, governors’ scholar; same stats except 12 yrs competitive dance instead of school athlete. No FA assigned.

D24’s stats are basically the same and also applied A&S, and likewise she does not have the FA officer. In hindsight we both wish she’d applied ED rather than RD but she just wasn’t in a place to narrow her choices at the time.
