D24 Waitlisted (MHS/pre-med) sad night as Vandy would have allowed her to finally be done with the stress of all this…need to start digging into some tough pro/con lists now.

For portal trackers next year, she had one address, no FA name, no withdraw button.

Waitlisted. 1550 SAT, 35 ACT, 4.0/ 5.1 gpa. 16 APs, National Merit Scholar, leadership and athletic achievements. Accepted all others except waitlist UNC. Lots of random factors seem at play in decisions. All these kids are amazing and should feel like superstars no matter the decision! Keeping our faith that everyone ends up in the perfect place for them!

I think Vanderbilt now guarantees $6000/year for National merit finalists if my son now lists Vanderbilt as his college choice (he had previously listed undecided while waiting for decision) with NMC?

Rejected for CS
4.41 W, 3.74 UW, 36 ACT
No FA counselor on portal

Yes, $6k if you list Vandy with NMC.

My brother was accepted! :tada: I’m so proud of him. It was such an exciting day but once the adrenaline calmed down he said his heart is telling him Notre Dame. So, go Irish!
Best of luck to all of you. Enjoy college!

I hear that Vandy puts 5-6k students on WL. If 150 from WL eventually enrolled, assuming 50% yield, then 300 are off the WL, it’s roughly 5-6% chance to get an acceptance once on WL.

I see. There are so many wl posted in this forum. It will be a tough process while waiting for the final decision.

Did not check portal astrology
Will have to move on and consider other options

Wondering how many accepted test optional this year. Congrats to all accepted and good luck to everyone deciding and still waiting.

My daughter was accepted and was test optional; deferred from ED1.

Does anyone know if 5/1 is the commitment deadline? Looks like the deadlines page of the first year admissions section of Vandy’s website lists 5/1 as the deadline for the matriculation deposit, which I assume means this is also the commitment deadline. I know some schools moved that deadline back due to FAFSA rollout issues, but apparently not Vandy?

D24 was admitted test optional in RD (didn’t do ED)

Congrats to all accepted students! @Jkb2, @Nlnorthcutt, @CALMom221, @tgieske, @jenzh, @Coolpotatohead123, do you want to share stats?

I thought that was if you did it by their deadline which past- but I don’t know for sure

I believe commitment deadline is still 5/1
