Taggart, did she say anything about when it was mailed?

No, but she said “you should hopefully receive in next week” which implies that it might have been today or yesterday. I dunno how long it would take a letter to go from Nashville to the greater NYC area but I wouldn’t guess that they’ve been mailed monday

Maybe big packages travel slower? ![]()
lol. I’ll bite at any good sign (after what happened with my UNC app)

Was she really serious or was she somewhat jovial?

This is exciting! I’m so darn curious… trying to study for my exams and such, but it’s so hard to focus knowing that decisions may be on their way!!

I asked her via email.

I suppose it’d do no harm to post it…

Hi Brian,
I wanted to let you know that we do have everything we need from you. We have evaluated your application and a letter is in the mail. You should hopefully receive it in the next week. If you have not received your letter by the end of next week, just give us a call or shoot me an email and we can double check on that.
Kind Regards,
Mary

I don’t want to be too optimistic for fear that I was outright rejected :S

That e-mail sounds about as neutral as you can get haha. Don’t worry man!

Yeah. Just gotta breathe deeply… head to the gym… work abs and arms…

Cya guys in an hour! Haha

No word on acceptance but it seems as if letters have been mailed for some of us! And if it was sent at least Tuesday, it will be here by Saturday for sure so this week! GL!

There’s too much conflicting data on this thread, my hopes have been risen and dashed away…I can’t handle it, i’m losing my sanity. Im going to settle on checking the mailbox compulsively, and harassing the postman when my letter doesn’t show up. blah

Alright. I’ve got a little something to add to the confusion, but possibly bring a little bit of relief by being aware that there’s really no telling when, exactly, a decision could come. I’ve got a friend who I went to high school with who also is currently awaiting a transfer admissions decision from Vandy. Therefore, we have the same admissions counselor. She told him recently that admissions would be mailed out this coming Friday, yet told me (as I said earlier) two days ago that admissions decisions were, and will be, mailed out last Monday and this Monday. So, we got conflicting news from the same source. The implications? I have no idea. But seems like Vanderbilt is enjoying playing the waiting game with us.

Ah so I guess we’re somehow sorted into those different rounds and our decisions are mailed on that rolling basis thing. Hm.

So getting a decision is probably either very good or very bad :/

Hello everyone, I called admissions two days ago and the person I spoke with said they are mailed every Friday on a rolling basis and could not tell me where they were on the dates. I was in a hurry so I wasn’t more persistent. I’ll see if I could find out more information tomorrow.

i can’t eat, sleep, study…or anything for that matter…im so nervous! Im gonna perish by the time the decisions actually make their way to my house…still good luck to all and I really hope to see and meet all of you at Vandy in the fall ;)

Well I’m going to call my counselor again next Tuesday or I might even pop into the admissions office and ask what’s going on with my app tomorrow.

Ah! I’m going crazy over all of this. I can’t focus on anything fully. I just need to know already. I wish the counselors would get on the same page because then at least even if they were lying to us, we wouldn’t be this confused!!!

ok, I’m done venting =) I just am really going a little nuts waiting for this letter. Good Luck to all! We will know soon enough!

…any news yet?

maybe Vanderbilt just decided they’ll send them out sometime in August

Nope. My decision is somewhere inbetween Nashville and New York City :(

cmoon mailman! Counting on you!

empty mailbox in Texas…
