My application hasn’t even been reviewed yet, haha.

how do you know? when did you submit?

Tennessean, I go to UT knoxville too!! haha.

seeing that people have actually gotten acceptance letters gives me hope…after all of the talk about the waiting list i was really nervous! anyway I have still yet to get any news…but im still anxiously waiting! congrats to all who have been accepted

Tennesean, whats your major?

I GOT IN!!! WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!

To all those still waiting. Just know that if you worked hard long enough it will have payed off. Good luck to those still waiting.

@sammywho sorry about the comment it just came off as you trying to be snobby like you “just have a 4.0”

@Finnegan- Congrats big time! I promise you it wasn’t my intention to sound snobby, i’m genuinely worried that a 4.0 is all i have to offer Vanderbilt. I’ve got no extracurrics, i’ve taken a semester off, and it was all at a community college. I’ve never applied to a university before and i’m scared because i don’t know exactly what they’re looking for. And for the record, i wasn’t offended by your comment

no letter in CA today!!! and i called my admin counselor and he is out of town…so i called the admin office and she said she couldn’t comment about the status of my app…ahh this wait is killing me…

btw Finnegan, where are you?

ugh…WAITLISTED.
better than an outright rejection I guess

stats:
3.64 GPA with 55 credits
Honors program at a community college
28 ACT

ec’s: work 25 hrs a week and active involvement in a Vietnamese organization

Those of you who got letters… can you please post your location? The rest of us are wondering where the mail is :)

Still waiting here (D.C. Suburbs)

I live in IL

Chicago area. I had my parents open it since, I am off at college. But, being by Chicago probably got the mail much faster than people who don’t live by big cities.

does mail move on saturdays? I forgot :O

Yes it is delivered on Saturdays

moves everyday, everything like sorting and other stuff goes on 365 24/7 basically. Delivery and your local post office are the only things not working on sundays.

Congratulations to all of those who were accepted!!!
I found out something quite heart-wrenching today. My admissions counselor had previously informed me that my application was complete, but I got a call from her today saying that my transcript was not included in my application and to please fax it and later send a formal copy as soon as possible. I finished my application completely on February 24. The way in which Harding sends out transcripts for transfer admissions is that our registrar sends the transcript to the dean of the department from which the applicant is applying and that dean is to include the transcript in their letter to the university. Apparently, my transcript was lost somewhere in between these two places. What makes this matter all the more frustrating, is that I have had problems with the business office before in that I had a hold on my account because I had not yet received a scholarship, and therefore owed them money. So I thought my balance was clear, only to have the business account inform me several weeks later that I had the hold, which I then had to pay out of my own money because the scholarship had not yet arrived. After several more rounds of back and forth, they assured me that the transcript that I had requested had been sent to Vanderbilt. However, this apparently was not the case.

I really think my recs helped me a lot. My class schedule was hard, but not out of this world. Keep in mind I’m a freshman. At UGA I took five 1000-1999 level courses last semester. This semester at UT, I’m taking Geology 101 and lab, Calculus, A 200 level english course, and Communications. I plan on going to law school. At UGA and UT I was listed as a Finance major. At Vandy I applied as a Political Science major to the college of arts and sciences.

And hey, my fellow Knoxvillian.

I would like serious answers to this question please… Do you think being an Army wife gives me any sort of distinction, as if i could count that as an extracurricular?

I doubt it, I just got off of Active Duty army myself and they did not seem too impressed (yet)
