Vanderbilt Transfer Fall 2010

@ sankeye:

The decisions might be sent out on a rolling basis, but the order of the applications that they read is NOT dependent on when you submitted or completed your file. It’s all about luck. For example, I submitted my application on March 1st, didn’t complete my file (because they never received my College Official’s Report) until around April 9/10ish, updated the file with a mid-term grade report on April 19th, and still heard back this past Monday. Just hope for the best. The good thing is that it doesn’t take too long for the letter to come. It was addressed on the 23rd, and I received it on the 26th. Also, my counselor told me that once they mail out the decision, the applicant is allowed to call up his/her respective counselor directly to ask about the decision.

@fmhcbc haha i know i realize all of that, i know when mine will be sent im just anxious about hearing!

Yeah my counselor told me the same thing

I know they don’t like hearing from us too much, I don’t want it to hurt my chances. I already had to call to explain the situation and since my app is technically late, I don’t want to bother my counselor. If the e-mail-asking-for-results is true, should I just ask if mine has been finished and if she can tell me or is that too rude to do to them?

@MUengmaj, you shouldn’t feel sheepish asking if your application is complete, thats a legitimate concern! i asked my counselor if mine was completed and then i asked him if he knew if my application had been sent yet or when it will be. he was prompt in responding, and it gave me a little more peace of mind!

Does anyone who has already been accepted know the final date to respond to Vanderbilt?

^ My final response date is May 15th.

I called around 2ish pm today. And the at 230 I went to a campus tour because another person applying as a freshman was going. But yeah the campus is awsome I just can’t wait until orientation and the upcoming semester!

I am really happy for you talha, your the person i wanted to get in most on this thread. You really wanted it :D

NOOOO i wanted vandy more

Aw man thanks! That means alot and I’m really happy you got into Cornell!!!

Accepted into Peabody as a second-semester sophomore majoring in Human and Organization Development. Accepted with a 3.0 GPA combined from both a private and state school (CA), so anything is possible… if there’s anything I’ve learned, it’s that eventually you end up where you’re meant to be whether or not you realize at first- it took me two schools and two different Leave of Absences to figure out what I wanted. Best of luck to all of you!

thanks talha! Isn’t it just freaking great when everyone gets what they want?! I love life :D

haha yeah seriously you and me were liek the only people talking in the thread for the first few pages, you were in it from the start and made it to the end. Im so happy for you, adcoms can truly identify when someone has interest and the gpa and extracurrics to prove it

Haha idleness, you will in :D

I still haven’t heard! Is anyone else still waiting on a decision?
