<p>^ Fairly certain that the article is talking about only the freshman waitlist since it mentions “the class of 2014”. Maybe it applies to the transfer waitlist as well?</p>
<p>Today is May 6th which would allow a good buffer for freshmen to get their deposits in and so as fmhcbc suggested, I also think the article is referring to freshies. For transfers, think of it as a “rolling waitlist.” Since transfers were told about their decisions at different times, waitlistees will be told the same way. I would expect waitlistees to start hearing after Mid-May, I say this because I think that is when my and a few others’ deposit deadline is. Of course I could be wrong and the article may be indeed referring to transfers as well. Who knows.</p>
<p>It’s kind of frustrating that Vanderbilt gave me a short deadline to submit my SIR by May 15th. That’s when a most of my target schools release their admission decisions… I’ll be submitting my SIR regardless.</p>
<p>@edmfanatiq, have you gotten your FA package yet? If you don’t get it by the deadline or get it real close to the deadline you can stall a few days.</p>

then she was admitted off the priority waitlist
but they gave her ONE day to decide =(
so she put down the 800 dollars deposit…</p>

<p>falalalafun, they received my deposit this past Tuesday, and I was able to sign up for my VUnet ID Thursday morning.</p>
