okay broo relax…

Haha I can see where you’re coming from. It is a rather intense wait, but the closure from know the decision, no matter what it may be, is always fairly relieving.

knowing, that is. the stress makes me misspell apparently…

God it’s killing me! Lol. I just need time to fly by… god damn it but it’s not :(((

^its 4 42 and i have a midterm tomorrow and all i can think about are decisions.

^ hahaha wow your up pretty early. I usually have to wake up around 530 everyday but you still beat me lol. I have a Chemistry Exam on next thursday, I need to continue preparing for it so much math in chem this semester its crwazy. but still not too difficult.

This will make my Year if I get in lol. Because if I get in I’m getting a Vespa asap. If I don’t, I’m still getting a Vespa just not as fast lol.

this is a good time to practice patience though.

haha naw its just this one day, i was staying up late to study for the midterm i have in 1 hour lol. Your in college and have to wake up at 530? do you commute?

whats a vespa? (i live in new york city, no one owns a car lol we all take taxis and subways)

vespa is like this weird motorcycle thing right? haha

yeah Long Island (right outside of nyc) is all trains and expensive sedans.

Well a Vespa is a type of scooter and a company name actually. however most people (or maybe just me lol) refer to all scooters of the specific type as a “Vespa” but the one I am really getting is made by another company named “Flyscooters”. Because if I get a Vespa it will be much more expensive. So I’m getting a vespa like scooter that I just call a vespa but it is actually made by Flyscooters of California, and not by the actual Vespa company located in Italy.

but this is what it looks like: [Il Bello | flyscooters.com](<a href=“FlyScooters.com is for sale | HugeDomains”>FlyScooters.com is for sale | HugeDomains)

I’m thinking about getting the one in Black or in Red. Check out the view in those colors its freaking beeeeaauutiful. and more than 80mpg and it can go up to 55mph so its im excited.
So if I get in and you all do as well, I will be the guy riding around on this thing doing donuts lol kidding. But yeah this thing would be handy for any college student really. Its like 3$ on gas per week pretty much.

but back to Vandy lol its almost timeeeee!

Oh and also I don’t commute I just wake up that early because I’m awsome!!!

lol dang. Wait so we can bring a car to vandy?

I believe we can bring a car. My cousin started there last fall and he had a car.

I wonder if frats/sororities care if you’ve transferred in or not for rushing. My school barely has any so I have no idea what they’re like :/

I doubt they do since you have to pay to join them anyways…but why join one anyways??? When you can make awesome friends for free!?! :)

Bringing a car seems to be a pretty $$ (expensive) idea. From what I hear, getting a parking permit is a pain, and most Vandy students with cars have to rent out spots from nearby hotels for the semester. I don’t think it’s too great of an idea to bring a car.

Regarding rushing, nah frats don’t care if you’re a transfer. I think they allow sophomores (maybe even juniors?) to rush in the fall or spring (not exactly sure which semester). I know this because of some info I read on CC about past transfer students rushing. For all I know, it might depend on the frat if they’ll let you rush or not. In general, the problem with frats there might not be if they accept you or not because you’re a transfer student, but rather if they accept you or not if you aren’t of the cultural background they’d like. I only say this because I hear a lot of Vandy frats are exclusive and very southern-country-clubish in atmosphere.

i was on the fence of using my saved up money for a car for the summer then bring it to vandy but hmm maybe not.

wait cultural background? like race? Cuz im nowhere near white or southern and that wud suck if i coulnt rush

I’d want to be in a frat because the greek thing seems pretty central to the social scene there according to CC, although I’ll have to judge for myself haha. I really don’t want to be out of the loop.

I’m not southern in the slightest (from NY), I’d be a transfer, and I’m relatively poor - but at least I’m not super liberal or anything. Hm I guess we’ll see. Getting in is the main thing though… haha

@Castiel, and TaggartNY

I’m sure you guys will find your niche and a frat that doesn’t care about your background. But yes, there are some frats, and Vandy kids in general, who are very very Southern. A lot of the Greek life at Vandy is exclusive when comparing it to a school like say Dartmouth, which is also heavily Greek, but more inclusive about membership. Personally, I don’t know if I would rush, but I wouldn’t mind taking advantage of the benefits of Greek life (attending the parties, hitting on the sorority sisters ;)) without having to pay the dues of being in a frat.

Going back to the car issue, unless you’re going to a place with decent parking procedures and crappy public transportation (like Rice in Houston), it isn’t really worth taking a car to college.

haha thanks. I am a pretty sociable person so hopefully my personality shines through. I kind of want the frat boy experience and go to parties on the weekends haha. Can’t do that at my current school, there are no frats here :(

ha, alright thanks i guess its settled, i wont get a car. I hope its not too hot and humid walking to classes (Im from florida and walking from class to class made me die of heat stroke lol)

I’ve been to tennessee in the summer before. It’s basically Africa IMO
I was sweating like hell. This is coming from someone who walks around NY in the winter without jackets though. I’d definitely have to get used to that intense heat.
