<p>lol its not like africa, its hot but not that hot, but then again I like hot weather. Its usually like mid to high 80s and mid 90s in the hottest months probably. but I’ve been to the “India-Pakistan” region of the world and lived there so this heat is nothing to me lol.</p>
<p>but you guys will probably like it nashville theres ALOT to do and theres a wave pool and nashville shores out by percy priest lake.</p>

<p>Hey guys! I currently attend Belmont University which is walking distance from Vandy. TaggartNY, I am also a new yorker/new jerseyan haha so us yankees need to stick together. But, the people here are great. sooooo friendly, but no offense to any nashville residents the drivers on the road are extremely frustrating. </p>

<p>hahha taggart i live in nyc now and i am the same way, i walk around without jackets in winter. I love the cold so much (because you can’t sweat!)</p>

<p>The weather is the only negative I can see about Vandy. But I guess I can rock my shades everyday.</p>
<p>I don’t know Castiel. I’d much prefer Cornell to Vandy. I can deal with extremely cold/hot weather, but I’ve never been down South before other than to Florida on vacation. As a matter of fact, the Southeastern U.S. minus Florida is the only place in our country that I really have no clue about in respect to how the culture and people are like.</p>

The people are wonderful! But of course you will find ******bags around every now and then but thats the same for everywhere! over all the people are very nice and polite. I’ve never really had any driver problems with people here or anything, maybe because i’m the one whose causing the problem? hah no just kidding, but anyways yeah I’ve never had any driver problems except for the normal 4-5pm traffic hour. </p>

I was hanging out near vandy’s campus last night lol and I saw the Frat party mess left over! There were couches, trashcans, beer-cans, picnic tables, a slipnslide and probably still some drunk kids EVERYWHERE on frat row my friend and I just died laughing, and surprisingly enough there was still a party going on at one of the frat houses with everyone trying to see how many people could fit on a picnic table. Hilarious. im not really a “party-kid” but I do like to go out and have fun, just not get ridiculously drunk kind of fun though lol. but they have that “scene” though! (plus alot of frat kids are exclusive ****** bags lol)</p>

<p>smart kids know how to have fun haha. I really want a frat scene (idk if i would pledge. Maybe?) because of the drunken hookups and the chance to meet people and socialize. I have to go to a really social school since I am the type of person that loves to meet people and talk haha.</p>
<p>Yeah I don’t like drinking too much either, its just makes you speak your mind and stumble over yourself. </p>

<p>yeah I’m a pretty social person too I like to enjoy myself with friends and sometimes I am at those “scenes” but usually I’d just be at some party at my friends house, who actually has his own house lol its freaking awsome!
Yeah I love meeting new people too thats probably why I freaking loved college orientation hahah! </p>

<p>well their FA covers 100% of need. So if you can show that you have a certain amount of need then they promise to cover it. And letters to the special needs committeeee also never hurts plus its a good way to explain your situation. I did that for Belmont when I applied for FA their and they didn’t give enough : / But this is Vandy their endowment is MUCH larger.</p>

<p>I think he said they are being mailed on the 13th. But we’ll see and of course you can always email/call your counselor and ask for your decision?</p>
<p>If it’s any consolation to any of you, I think everyone on last year’s Vanderbilt transfer thread on CC got in, except for this one woman. But to be fair, the woman called Vanderbilt up, and was told that she was rejected because she’s a non-traditional student with a family, 2 kids or something, and I think maybe a job as well. In her case, Vandy rejected her because they didn’t want to take her away from other important commitments. But the fact that everyone else on CC aside from that lady got in is great! Good luck to all of you.</p>

<p>You can call them if you want but they probably going to just tell you that the decisions are being mailed on the 13th. But if you speak directly with your counselor he/she might tell you your decision. But ehnn I don’t know. I’m going to call probably like in 3 days or so if I don’t get anything in the mail.</p>
