I’ve had a lot of fun in here, so I thought I’d hop over and give you guys the news.
I was pretty bummed after being flat out rejected by Vandy on Monday. I thought I had a pretty decent shot at getting in, even coming from a Community College. Alas, I was not. Not even waitlisted!! I was pretty resigned to going to Michigan, which sounds STUPID, because I would have loved it there.
Would have.
I was accepted to Stanford this evening.
Thank you to all of you for making this whole process so much fun. I really enjoyed spending way WAY too much time on CC, talking to all of you, and bearing through it together. I wish you all the best of luck, wherever we all end up. I can say with a good amount of certainty, the active posters in this thread will make a lasting impact in each of our respective fields.

Just a thought… Would a letter of recommendation from a legislator in Tennessee make a difference in getting off of the waitlist?

hey also did you guys see college niche? it shows that vanderbilt is the 9th hardest school to get into in the US wow… it is even before penn and georgetown etc… maybe thats why its so hard to get in

@bobsmith5101 I don’t know. But one of them is much more difficult to get in than Vandy by transfer.
