Does winning state championships for a Varsity Sport help in any way to getting accepted in to top unviersities? GPA and Test scores are most important but if those are in the general range of scores that get accepted in the past, will the state championship mean something?
Unless the college is recruiting you as an athlete, playing a varsity sport and winning a state championship is no better and no worse than most other EC’s.

Depends on the college. A top private university will value EC’s; South Central State College will not care.
