Hi, I’m a junior and I have a question. So, when you apply to colleges, you send your grade transcript only??? By using the common app???( don’t know what it is) but how do you tell or write like the extracurricular activities and volunteer status?? Help me. Also, teach me what common app does or is… Thanks…
The common app is an application that you fill out and send to colleges when you are a senior who is beginning to apply. Your transcript will be sent separately by either your guidance counselor/school (this could be different depending on how your school works). There are various sections of the common app that you fill out. For example there is a demographics section where you put your ethnicity. There is also an essay section with prompts to choose from.
There is a whole section dedicated to your extracurriculars and volunteer work. You basically write each down in different slots. When you are a senior, this will all make a lot more sense.
