Very nervous for M10.... Am I cooked?

I am posting it again with adding some staffs.
I am a Grade 10 student from Bangladesh which may be pretty unfamiliar in these schools as far I know. I am reclassing Grade 10 and applying to top-tier US boarding schools for Grade 10 entry. I wanted to share my full profile and get advice on my chances. Please read carefully—I’ve included everything.

  1. Academics & Resilience

*Predicted GPA-5; overcame prolonged illness (Grades 7–9) and COVID disruptions (Grades 5–6).

*Strong comeback trajectory: regained top ranks in class and excelled in STEM and English after illness.
I have begged a suggestion to the admission offices whether I should to reclass because I showed resilience but USA curriculum is very different from Bangladesh. And they positively replied positively and some schools said that many students do reclass, so I can also.

*Demonstrated determination, self-motivation, and intellectual growth.

  1. STEM & Innovation
  • Tri-Solution Project: Advanced dual-source energy system combining geothermal + wasted electricity recovery, mountain-attached waterfall turbines, and smart daylight-mirroring buildings. Fully AI-controlled.

  • Hybrid Fission-Fusion Concept: Highly advanced theoretical nuclear energy system with plasma management, dual fission/fusion core, simulations, calculations, and potential for new isotopes discovery that is not yet revealed. AI controlled….

    • AI image generation and editing integrated with stories (5–10 min videos shared via YouTube)

  • Also made an App made in collaboration with One of my Earrh Prize teammates which calculates our project’s net energy generation, AI prediction, analyzing data, etc.

Additional Notes:

  • Fully self-made STEM and AI projects

  • Holistic profile matches exactly what top US boarding schools want

Question to the Reddit Community:

Given my full profile (Grade 10, holistic achievements, advanced STEM + AI + arts projects, leadership experience, positive interviews, professional LORs, low SAT due to age/context), what are my realistic chances for Grade 10 admission at top US boarding schools like:

  • Phillips Exeter Academy

  • Phillips Academy Andover

  • Deerfield Academy

  • St. Paul’s School

  • Hotchkiss School

  • Emma Willard School

  • Lawrenceville School

  • Groton School

What is my chance with this 53%(1030) SAT score?

I also got an LOR from my music teacher who knows me for 5 years. I believe that she wrote an excellent rec about my special interest. Also my Earth Prize mentor is an Shree Lankan, so I got an international LOR who is very professional. In my country may be it’s only me (not sure) who took SAT in grade 10 as most of the students take it after grade 12. And will it be a positive concern for these schools?

So I know this is frustrating, but realistically, none of us can give you a meaningful answer to your question. There is just too much missing information.

For example, we don’t know what your interviewers actually thought. Not to be cynical, but at the same time they are gathering information for admissions purposes, they are also trying to promote their school in case they decide to give you an offer. Every once in a while, an interviewer may bluntly tell someone this is not the right school for them. But most of the time, they want you to leave feeling good about it.

We similarly don’t actually know what your recommendations say, or how those will be evaluated.

We don’t know who else is applying to these schools this year, including from outside the US, including possibly from Bangladesh.

We don’t know exactly how they will evaluate your academic record, including because very few of us likely know anything about your system, but even with more familiarity we would not know how these schools will look at that record, we indeed don’t even have your full transcript to examine.

And we don’t know what role your SAT score will play in their evaluations of your academic preparedness for a US boarding school, including because normally US applicants take something like the SSAT instead, and as you are pointing out, there is a lot of unusual context for your SAT score.

I’m sure I am missing some things, but obviously that is collectively more than enough. We just don’t know what it is going to look like when they discuss your application behind closed doors, in light of their various internal policies, institutional goals, and the other applications they got this year.

So my best advice is just try to keep going with whatever else you have in your life, and then you will find out when you get your decisions. In the greater scheme, it isn’t much longer now, although I understand it may FEEL very long.

I agree, I’m also really nervous for my results, but there isn’t anything you can do now. No matter how many chance me’s you have, it won’t change the results. I recommend just trying to keep your mind off of it and the days will pass soon.
