Villanova University Early Action / Early Decision for Fall 2024 Admission

Is the ED2 pool just as large?

I’m pretty sure ED2 is usually much smaller. I don’t think they report is separately but we did hear directly from Admissions that ED2 is smaller, and the admit rate is lower than ED1 (don’t know exactly - they just said it’s lower). I’m the most recent CDS they admitted a total of 815 across both rounds. This year we heard from the CC poster that there were about 720 in ED1. So if numbers are similar to the past that means only about 100 admitted in ED2. Again, if numbers are similar to past, which we don’t know.

Has anyone heard anything about releasing early action? I know it’s before Saturday but was hoping for a few days before.

They told me this week

some kids received emails saying that

that’s disheartening. interesting to see if those are the kids accepted!

My daughter didn’t get an email either so it’s extremely disappointing that the notification process isn’t consistent.

No email here either. Very stressful.

Did they receive emails from Villanova or their school counselor about decisions?

I am not 100% sure. someone said about it on another thread and some kids in my kids school got it too.

Can someone give specifics on what email and did it go to ED applicants ED2 apllicants or EA applicants? I’m confused.

We did not receive an email either, submitted EA.

I have asked and didn’t hear back. I am going to assume there wasn’t an email and there was some misunderstanding. Positive thoughts

It may have been a misunderstanding on another thread, I believe the mom was talking about Loyla Maryland

That’s what I’m thinking too. A misunderstanding must have occurred because I find it hard to believe they would send emails out only to select students notifying them when decisions will be released.
