Found out tonight / got deferred from his ED 1. He’s trying to decide if he wants to stay the course and see what happens regular decision or apply ED 2 to Villanova. A close second. Can anyone share their stats for those accepted?

Hi everyone - My child applied EA and the portal still has no decision posted. But yesterday we received an email requesting senior mid-year grades. They’re great, so that’s good, but
 does this mean the decision is being deferred for EA? B/c their website says senior grades are only required for deferred EA and a few other cases. Has anyone else received this request? Or gotten an decision info for EA?

My child applied EA as well. No email for mid year grades and no change in portal.

My DD is an EA applicant and she does not receive any email requesting mid-year report from the school so far!

Villanova is a reach, but my child applied anyway. Question, does Villanova offer Merit?

I don’t think so, when my daughter applied she got into honors (3.95 uwgpa 34 act), no merit, I think she was awarded work study for FA.

2 years ago they sent decisions on a Friday evening, mid January. (my child was rejected and we won’t forget that Friday night, ugh)

My daughter got merit with her acceptance. It was noted in her acceptance letter.

Admissions and FA offices typically work independently. I wouldn’t try to guess decision outcomes based on FA updates.
