I stand corrected and mustâve misread, perhaps the site referred to a standalone department. That said, thereâs a marked difference in the programs in ranking, industry connections, and facilities.
Weâre OOS and donât have previous skin in the game, save for the reason we applied to Virginia Tech due to its reputation in the field and that we were just so impressed on our visit.
Is this common? I am just curious -I did not know that schools released over a weekend

This is so random, but I notice that many people on here have kiddos applying for Engineering, Architecture, Business, etc. Anyone here applying for a Liberal Arts major? My kiddo is applying for a History Major. We toured the school and he fell in love with it instantly. It is his dream school! Hoping for a yes tomorrow.
It is odd. Iâm speaking without any knowledge of what it takes to get this done, but Iâd think they were probably trying for today and just couldnât get it done. At least itâs tomorrow and not Monday or next Friday.

Philosophy major here. I thought they were applying for Poli Sci, but looks like they applied to Philosophy, Politics, and the Economy.
Which sounds like a very cool major, by the way!
I believe they were stuck between a Rock & a Heart place! Valentines Day & Mount Rushmore (Presidentâs Day)!!

releasing in the evening after school ends makes sense for school day releases. why wait till evening on a saturday? I do remember RPI did the same saturday evening time for EA.

From an optics standpoint appears VT has no clue what theyâre doing⊠EA is now released 12 days later than last year⊠and to everyoneâs earlier point⊠why not release today? Clearly there is either a technical glitch, a funding glitch, a board meeting or something didnât officially occur to approve something⊠I have zero-point-zero clue how it works⊠but I know sometimes in business things get held up for a technicality so to speak.

There was a power outage in the Blackburg area a few days ago due to the snow event. So not sure if that pushed it out by a day.
