How do they sign up for their email? She couldn’t find it. Does their deposit have to be processed before they can do this?
I would imagine there is nothing stopping the both of them for applying to the same LLP as long as they meet whatever requirements they have. As to ensuringbthey room together I dont know.
We signed up for the email with no notification from VT. Dont think i ever got notification of payment - just saw the charge hit my card.
How/where did you sign up for email?
Once you accept the offer and pay the $400 deposit, an email will be sent to your student with instructions on how to set up their VT email. It took about 48 hours for this to happen for us. Once they have a VT email, they can then complete the housing contract.
Thank you!
Has anyone been able to find information on tuition for their summer start program?
This is from last year, but will give you an idea.
Thanks for providing this answer. Its kind of a blur to me now but we googled it and signed up for VT email before we got the instructions. All emails including the Hokie Focus were sent to the new VT address before we could access it and we lost access to his portal for about a day. Was scary.
Another question if anyone knows - if not I’ll call VT. My child indicated interest in summer start - is that binding at VT? I know it is at PSU.
Well reached out to financial aid on status of any scholarships we applied for. And they said all scholarships have been completed and we can consider our financial aid package complete.
Is there a link to the housing contract sent to their vt address? we just set up the VT email.
We had to google the StarRezPortal and use our vt.edu email to do the contract. We never got an email
Thank you. We’ll take care of it tonight.
Son sent a LOCI to the admissions office through email after being on waitlist, and received a response from them (just a warm thank you for continued interest, etc.). I believe Virginia Tech has a reputation of not responding to LOCIs and ignoring them since they don’t consider them at all. Is this a good sign, or standard?
Did you have to do the SSO? Or were you able to enter your email address and passphrase?
No sign
which county/state are you in
We are in-state, Northern Virginia.
The chart was from a mid-Atlantic magnet high school. So applicants would be concentrated in engineering and sciences. VT would not be a choice for the kids in the humanities program.
