Virtual CC After-Kids-Have-Left Thanksgiving Leftovers Potluck Dinner

Come one, come all, and contribute whatever leftovers you wish!

S and I had our Thanksgiving dinner yesterday, and I have the following to contribute:

[ul]
[]Phyllo triangles with a mushroom/white wine filling
[]Onion and cheese appetizers
[]Spanikopita appetizers
[]18 stalks of fresh asparagus
[]Half a head of fresh broccoli, and half a head of fresh cauliflower
[]2/3s of a cauliflower-potato-cheese pie
[]Half a casserole dish of chestnut stuffing
[]Half a dish of broccoli/cheese/fried onions casserole (like the traditional green beans dish, but made with broccoli instead)
[]Half an apple pie
[]One Bartlett pear and two Fuji apples intended for a fresh salad
[]A serious hunk of gorgonzola cheese
[]Wheat Thins
[li]Most of a bottle of Chilean cabernet sauvignon[/li][/ul]

I’ll start putting stuff out on the buffet about 4 PM EST, and I’m hoping someone has some corn casserole (the two cans of corn, one creamed, one not, and corn muffin mix recipe) so that I can try it, since I didn’t get around to making it!

See you here later today!

I’ll bring cranberry relish, green bean casserole and a whole pumpkin pie. I keep saying I want to lose weight but I guess the refrigerator is going on a diet first.

Pumpkin pie (only a few slices left and going fast)
Turkey with gravy
Oyster stuffing
Cranberry sauce
Two bottles of wine
One bottle of sparkling cider that was forgotten in the basement fridge

Smoked Salmon Spread and Townhouse Toppers
Cinnamon-Chipotle Roasted Sweet Potatoes
Half an Apple Pie
Homemade Mushroom Pizza (that’s from yesterday’s dinner, after tree-cutting)
That’s it (from a Thanksgiving Dinner for 14)!

Had to go grocery shopping today to replenish, now that S1 is back at school.

Oh, good, pumpkin pie!!! Didn’t make (nor buy) one this year.

num num num!

Maybe I should have some turkey, green bean casserole, and sweet potatoes first, though… !

Am I too late?

I have an assortment of cheeses and some adorable miniature Bartlett pears. Also just a serving or two of roasted butternut squash.

No, not too late at all! This is the grazing/munching/chatting/drinking/weeping/laughing/get rid of leftovers place to be!

Butternut squash, you say? Yay!! (Next up, pears with cheese!)

3/4 of a Trader Joe’s Pecan Pie (too sweet even for me!)

We drive 4 hours out-of-state for Thanksgiving, so I only prepare/take “cold” items. I have about 1/2 gallon of apple cider fresh from the orchard. Count me in!

Slow- roasted heirloom tomatoes
sweet potatoes topped with marshmallows
a bit of turkey with caramelized onion-balsamic gravy

Turkey (from the SECOND turkey we made) and gravy, half a pumpkin pie. And lots of ham.
Peas with garlic and onion butter, sweet corn.

We just sent our boys back with a BUNCH of food, so we don’t have that much here.

Cranberry sauce (homemade), pumpkin bread, turkey, turkey, turkey, dressing, sweet potatoes, all that. But supper is almost ready, and it’s all of the above, so I don’t know how many leftovers there will be after we eat the leftovers!

Owlice, I have one serving of corn casserole left, here you go.

Also bringing pecan pie tartlets, some Yukon gold mashed potatoes, some sliced ham and some assorted cookies my mother left here. Oh, and some truffles.

And popping the cork on Toasted Head Chardonnay.

Extending my wine glass…thank you, eggmom!

Sweet potato pie, cornbread dressing and some mustard greens, here.
Mafool, I can turn that butternut squash into a great soup.

I love butternut squash bisque, Texasmama! I use apples and onions in mine. What do you use?

Well, we still have chicken with artichokes and sun-dried tomatoes, from dinner Wednesday night, plus lots of turkey – but I’m sick of it all, so I made a lasagna just for DH and me.

You all can have whatever you want – no dessert left, no potatoes left, just a little turkey, and lots and lots and lots of stuffing.

Must buy gravy. Yum – stuffing and lasagna.

Only stuffing and mashed potatoes are left over in my house; if anyone cares for them, I’ll put them out. All non-starch vegetable and protein matter was consumed. The dog feasted on turkey skins, and now will not touch dog food without the turkey “flavor”.

eggmom, thanks for the corn casserole! I’m definitely making this for Christmas!! Yum!

BunsenBurner, you can always make stuffing sandwiches!! :D
