Visa for USA

Hi. So I am a student in USA that knows alot about the application process for USA students. However, my cousin is trying to attend a university in the Chicago area. He has asked me for help, and I have looked on websites trying to figure out the whole application process for international students. I know they need to take SAT, ACT, and/or TOEFL tests. But I am still unsure of a lot of thing. Can someone please tell me about the application process? And this is my biggest question: How will my cousin get a visa to USA? If he is accepted, then is he automatically guaranteed a visa? PLEASE HELP!!!

If he is accepted he will not automatically receive a visa. He will still be subject to most of the aspects of the visa screening with the additional requirement that he or his family produce evidence that they can financially afford the cost tuition and room & board. Scholarships and financial aid will be taken into account. Having said that, the school application process is (more or less) the same as for US based applicants. The visa process starts after acceptance.

Thank you so much!

Best of luck mate
