I’m a student at Clark University with a few friends at Umass and I would just want to know tips on visiting. Also, I don’t have a car on campus with me this year, and knowing how the WRTA (Worcester buses) and how PVTA works I’ll probably have to stay overnight in order to get back. Just general tips on where to go are welcome as well.
Wouldn’t your friends at UMass be a good source of info…since you are visiting them?
Your only public transportation option from Worcester to Amherst is the bus from the main terminal (Not WRTA maybe Greyhound or Peter Pan) to Springfield and PVTA from Springfield to Amherst. The only other option is renting a car. Hope this helps.
If you are comfortable driving, you might be better off splitting the cost of renting a car through Turo. It will save you a ton of time.
