<p>Just wanted to let everyone know that when you go and set up a free student account they are running a promotion through July - with every checking account you get a free $100.00 Visa gift card. It was a nice surprise.</p>
<p>I’ve had an account with Wachovia since last year, but I still want a $100 gift card. :(</p>

<p>I don’t know when it started but it was available this past Saturday.</p>
<p>I called Wachovia today about the deal. The promotion that is now running for the $100 gift card began June 4, and will end on July 16. It is available in Wachovia’s Capital Region, which includes northern Virginia. It may be available in their other regions as well. However, you must go in to one of their banks or financial centers before that time to open the student checking account and get your gift card. You cannot do it online or by phone.</p>
<p>Oh, okay. That’s why. I live in Delaware. So I got $25 in my bank account, not a $100 gift card.

<p>Just got a pop up that said open Wachovia account, get $50 gift card. Whatever the incentive, D2 is going in on Monday to open an account.</p>
<p>Daughter just returned from opening her account and got the $100 card here in NoVa. We had to remind the customer service person about it, though.</p>

<p>And I thought today was last day…new program now. Referal gets $25 for the person opening the account and $25 for the referee. And free checks with this promotion.</p>
