I wonder if there are any statistics by college for what percentage of students get off the waiting list and get offered a place in a BA Theater or BFA program? The following story from teh NY Times prompted this question:
[Top Colleges Have Bigger Waiting Lists - NYTimes.com](http://www.nytimes.com/2010/04/14/education/14waitlist.html?th&emc=th)

So… is it worth while to put your hope in an offer based on the fat that you are on the waiting list or is it a very slim chance? I know that there is a lot of anecdotal evidence of students who got an offer after being on the wait list, but it would be more valuable to understand exact statistics and chances.
