wow, congrats! they’ve started taking people off the waitlist already? don’t they only start doing that after may 1st?

I wonder how they let you know if you have been accepted (mail, email, phone call). I know they eventually send a letter stating that the waitlist is closed (no long accepting)…

My daughter was accepted off the waitlist at Clemson last week. Surprised to hear from them so early. She received a large envelope with information on registration, courses, housing, etc.

Congrats to everyone that has heard back already.

how many people here are waiting for the cornell waitlist? lol
what do you guys think it’ll be like this year (for cornell)?

Georgetown?

S is going to Princeton, turning down waitlists for Yale, Brown, Swarthmore, and, at the last minute, Harvard. Giving up acceptances to Georgetown SFS, Columbia, Williams, Amherst, Middlebury, Haverford, Tufts, Vassar, Brandeis, and Dartmouth. Hope dropping out of those spots helps somebody deserving!

I’m currently on the wait list of NYU, Emory, and U of Michigan. It sucks. I saw the wait list for Michigan coming…I sent in my application on the last day. Lol, I probably would have got in if I turned it in earlier.

I sent in my deposit to Fordham, but all three of the above are my top choices. My dad’s really pushing me to go to Emory though.

yes, 4th house, thank you i’ll take… Georgetown! your S has an impressive list!! congrats!

My D got in of the waitlist for UMiami this weekend. She received an email telling her she was one of a small group that were accepted and that she had to let them know by Monday at 9 am. This has always been her first choice but, with difficulty, decided to stand by her decision to attend Newhouse and Whitman at SU after attending an admitted reception last week. Everything happens for a reason.

Twoparent: good move; PM me with any Newhouse q’s…

Nooob, my S is waitlisted at Cornell. I heard today from an Ad Con that they had an exceptionally high number of worthy candidates, so I’m feeling that they may not be pulling too many from the waitlist. I so hope I am wrong.

I’m waitlisted at Bucknell and Washington & Lee, both of which I like very much. I’ve probably not got much of a shot at either one, but I can dream. And then, of course, there’s the money issue. ARGH! Why can’t we win the Texas lottery and make this a no-brainer??? I’d even share with some of you guys.

nonie, i’m in almost a similar position as you. i’m waitlisted for NYU(stern) and michigan as well, i should have sent in my application much earlier as well! damn it! it sucks but we only have ourselves to blame. anyways all the best! any of you guys have any info about the michigan and NYU waitlist?

Sent in card to Bucknell advising my intention to attend BC. One more spot! Good luck.

Oh lordy! I just got accepted off of the wait list of Emory University. So happy! But I feel bad for my parents. They will most likely have to pay for all of it. Good luck to the rest of you!

Funktastic, I’m just about to jump off of the wait list of NYU and Michigan so it might help your chances some. Good luck.

^ Congrats, nonie! That’s awesome!

I’m waiting on Chicago and GWU lists, but I’m giving up acceptances @ Rochester and BU, if anyone wants. :)

Exactly what did you do to get off the wait list at Michigan?

Congrats nonie! But don’t you wanna wait and see if you get accepted of the waitlist for michigan and NYU? And yea, it may help my chances in a way. Thanks!

well for all you NYU waitlistees, I’m turning down my spot for arts and sciences!
