Yeah, Davis has a waitlist appeal, because they didn’t let you appeal while you were on waitlist.

hmm but when would they even respond to us by? Because i wouldn’t want to wait another 2 or 3 weeks :/

In 3 weeks =/. June 10th. Absolutely last minute. Yeah, I know, sucks x.x

They are unable to offer admission
I really thought we had a chance.
for me it’s
appeal (but I’d be going through all this waiting again), CC w/ TAG, or UCI then CC, for the college experience.
@syltutu I think CC. Apparently CSU to UC is the hardest transfer to make. The only problem would be extracurriculars, but since you don’t like SDSU’s, there’s not much of a difference.
I know a guy who was at a community college near Davis and somehow got in on some of their clubs…idk how he did it though

What did you put for your reason for appeal?

@link
I think my weaknesses were 1) my GPA went down freshman to sophomore, 2) lack of leadership positions, 3) few AP’s
1)influenced by family circumstances, and my grades have gone up from sophomore even though my schedule got harder
2) I took on two leadership positions senior year, I’m not sure how impressive that will look on paper but I feel like it’s influenced me
3) My school is small and doesn’t offer many AP’s, and then it only offers one class. I took less than everyone on this forum, but I still took the hardest schedule I could get

I think your grounds are stronger, but I’m very much a “don’t-ever-give-up” person. So I have to try.

How many letters of recommendation are you planning to get?

June 10th O.O oh wow! Ugh long excruciating wait. But it will be worth it if you guys get in! I’m rooting for you all!

Good luck guys! I don’t think I can get recs in time cuz I graduate on Saturday lol. So I might as well go with the CC route. Sigh…

I’ve also been really watching this forum and was so hoping some of you would get in. I feel bad for all of you. Did they admit anyone from the waitlist? My dgt is going to school in the midwest, we are from Ohio and she did not want to go too far from home. You all seemed so passionate about UC-Davis. Could you tell me what drew you to the school? Do California residents have discounts to attend UC shools? I hope it all works out for all of you.

I’m sorry guys <3

I’m sorry to those of you that didn’t get in. When I was in high school I thought that I would NEVER go to a community college and miss out on the first two years of the “college experience”, but I’m telling you I’m really glad that’s what I ended up doing. So don’t get too sad, one day you may look back on this as a blessing in disguise.

Word of advice for those of you still wanting to go to Davis at some point: TAG TAG TAG!!! My biggest regret is that I didn’t… would have saved me a world of anxiety.

Good luck!

=____= they sent the admission status email, ahhh it’s like salt to my wounds! But it’s sorta longer than the message on the portal at least.

WOW, i havent been on cc in forever! im going to a community college! :D

^omg Andrew! lol it’s been a long time. It turns out i’m going to UCSC. I was hoping for Davis, but dang it was just like the days we were waiting for UCI. Got rejected after much waiting and hoping T__T

its all good. If life gives you lemons, you should make lemon tea. :D

Ooh I like lemon tea. Yeah looks like I’m going to CC and then TAGing to UCD. I just changed my fafsa/cal grant/ap score report/final transcript to my local CC. Looks like I’m ready to stay home for another two years…how exciting.

Be competitive, slacking off is the reasons why you would go to a CC in the first place! So don’t make that mistake again!

NOOOOO

If life gives you lemon you make grape juice and have everyone wonder how you did it.

That’s kind of a bold statement to make…

@ jojoyo how do i transfer everything over?
