This form is for tracking decision results, so it’s all centralized for future students. If you could fill this out once you get your decision, that would be very appreciated!
You can see all other people’s individual responses in the links above, along with overall form statistics (such as what percent got accepted).
Daughter waitlisted, top 10 public school in GA, 34ACT, 4.5 weighted GPA, 13 AP classes, national level sports. Funny, who are they admitting if that’s not good enough. We told them full pay too…
I got in with somewhat similar stats except a bit higher of an SAT. I had the interview and it went well. that probably tipped the scale for me tbh lol.
i travelled across the country and attended a campus tour/info session during tropical storm debby in august. i’d think that would demonstrate serious interest. oh well, wasn’t meant to be. not going to hang around on the waitlist.
Wake has formidable competition in the Southeast…top students from neighboring states would choose the state flagships, most likely honors colleges. Plus better sports, much more happening environments. The decisions are based on yield protection, similar to Tulane or Emory which have similar issues. JMTC
My daughter is a freshman at Wake and she and all of her friends were extremely high stats (my daughter got into very competitive schools and flagships). Yield protection doesn’t seem to be a real issue bc these kids WANT to be there. Amazing environment and incredible school. I hope your student is happy wherever they end up!
Curious to know, where did those who had the checklist on the portal end up? Were they denied, waitlisted, or accepted? My DD25 still had her checklist and was waitlisted. We also applied for financial aid and are OOS. We are still hopeful, so tonight she completed her LOCI. Wish us luck! By the way, I’m new to this forum, Dartmouth, and this group, especially you all, were incredibly kind and encouraging. It would have been wonderful if all of our children had been accepted, but unfortunately, that wasn’t the case. I wish you all the best!
Great school for sure. Liked the campus. Maybe we have a different understanding of what “high stats” are. Their latest common data set shows a 32-34 interquartile ACT range with 50-ish percent submitting test scores. The other 50 didn’t submit because they were lower than that.
