war of the summer programs

Hi everyone,

I am a junior right now and I am trying to figure out what I want to do this summer since its the last summer I’ll be able to show on my high school resume.
A little bit about my science background: I have done research at UPMC before so I do have some experience in a lab with a mentor, though it was not through any official program, just as a volunteer.

So here’s my question:
I got accepted into the UPitt Health Care Scholars Academy (the new Gov school that you pay for) and have also applied to the Magee Summer Internship Program. I can fit in both programs into my summer schedule since they are only a month each. In addition, I was planning on going to a impoverished village in India for a week to do some volunteer work. All this would be a tight fit, but I think it would be possible.

I thought my summer was set…until last Friday, when I got a full scholarship for $5800 to the CMU pre-college program (AP/EA) for this summer. I have heard this is a very prestigious program, but I would not be able to fit anything else in over the summer, except the one week volunteer work in India.

What do you think I should do?
