Did you see that picture of Elizabeth Hurley in a bikini. Holy cow, at age 55, she is so in shape. She said she drinks 2 glasses of warm lemon first thing in the morning. So, I read about it and it sounds that like it’s great for digestion and a whole bunch of other stuff. Does anybody do this? I think I’m going to try one glass. I’d kill to have her stomach.
I promise you it is not the warm lemon water alone that is keeping her in the shape she is in.
I bet she does a lot more than lemon water, but it does not hurt to give it a try. Does she drink it empty stomach?

I agree it’s her diet and exercise, but when I read about the benefits of warm lemon water, I’m impressed. She’s drinking it for a reason.
“I agree it’s her diet and exercise”
Don’t forget genetics.
Oh there is no question that good genes are big contributors. As someone close uses to say, “A skinny cow will never look like a gazelle.” Thus, I am not even trying!
So, has anyone done the warm lemon water? What are your opinions on that?
I take my warm lemon water with a baggie of green tea in it. It is quite tasty that way, I highly recommend. So far, so good. It reminds me to take regular bathroom breaks so it prevents me from sitting for too long. It is a health benefit, for sure! Still waiting if anyone would call me offering a movie part.
I’m looking more for helping belly bloat most of all. I like the idea of some green tea.
I drink green tea that contains lemon and ginseng (Aldi’s) every morning. Some people have warm water with lemon or apple cider vinegar in the morning on an empty stomach.
I have been drinking warm water with lemon for years. Every day! Sadly, it appears that’s the only thing Elizabeth Hurley and I have in common!
Lemon water and a sprinkle of chili powder / cayenne mixed in - this is supposed to speed up metabolism.
I don’t do it myself but know other people that drink the warm lemon water. I think it’s just a bit of a cleansing move. Can’t imagine there is any harm in it. IF you want and like to drink it. I’m not a supporter of ingesting something you don’t really care for just for some added small benefit it might give you.
First thing, @conmama… As a male… Thank you very much for “making” me look at a picture of this beautiful lady in a bikini
Secondly drinking any natural citrus drink has been known to work on fat cells. So years ago a lot of people did the grapefruit diet and so on.
But as posters above stated, it’s not just the warm lemon drink but it’s a start. I bet she works out with a professional trainer etc etc…
But I need to start losing my “winter” weight so this is actually motivating… Thx.
I bought some apple cider vinegar. Couldn’t dilute it enough to be palatable. Ideas?
I thought you were going to do lemon water?? Apple cider vinegar is a whole different animal. Especially in taste!
I think the taste of ACV grows on you after awhile. But it is definitely recommended you dilute it - at least equal parts- before drinking. But most things I’ve read about ACV is just a small amount - like no more than 1 tablespoon mixed with water no more than twice day.
Ahhh, just noticed it was @jym626 who is doing ACV , not OP Conmama!
I’m lost…
Warm lemon water with green tea (aka what @BunsenBurner mentioned in #7) sounds like… tea!
As for ACV, I can’t find a way to choke that stuff down in any form. Still looking for ideas. Will it work as a salad dressing with another flavored oil?
There are plenty of recipes using ACV but I think the health benefits are best served when taken just diluted in a little water. We always gargle with ACV/Water mixture when we have a sore throat.
