Hi guys, I need help.
I was accepted to the University of Warwick (on November 13) for Mathematics (G103) on the condition that I had to get at least 39 out of 45 IB points (with 7,6,6 in higher level subjects including Math).
However I had written the Mathematics Admission Test (MAT) on October 30 and sent my score to Warwick.
And I don’t think MAT papers were corrected so soon by the 2nd week of November.
The website says that MAT is “recommended” and not required for admission, and it helps students get a “reduced offer”
What kind of a reduced offer can I be eligible for with a certain MAT score? What does a reduced offer even mean?
Warwick saw your MAT score before they made your offer. A ‘reduced’ score would have been an offer of 6,6,6, instead of 7,6,6.
Your MAT score was high enough for an offer, and your offer is the normal offer for math at Warwick. Now…get to work on making sure you get those scores!
(and - congrats!)
