Love all the products I’ve tried, being both great tasting and additive free. With profits to charity, and the dose of humor in the labeling, can’t think of anything not to like. Humanity needs more examples of people like him.

I only read aft his death the guy was a great philantropist. I respect him a lot more now he did that and didn’t draw any attentions for himself. May it says so on the bottles but since I wasn’t a customer so I wouldn’t have known. I will try some of his stuffs now. Does he leave behind a foundation so the charity continues ?

The Newman’s Own Foundation will continue operating and continue selling his products and funding its causes.

I was going to include a link for you, but apparently the site imploded from high traffic after his death, and the complete site is currently unavailable. You can visit [Newmans Own](http://www.newmansown.com) in the future and learn more.

I like the dressings and his half-gallon drinks (lemonade, ice tea, lime-aid). The prices on his products are good too.

Never tried his popcorn products - I prefer to pop it fresh myself.

LOVE the salad dressings (especially the Italian and the ranch) and the pasta sauces. Haven’t tried anything else.

I originally bought his EVOO for the color of the bottle, as it matched my kitchen d

The light salad dressings are delicious–especially the balsamic vinaigrette. It’s such a favorite in this house that we just refer to it as “the Paul Newman,” as in, “we’re running low, be sure to pick up some Paul Newman when you go to the store!”

My 21 y.o. daughter only knew him from Newman’s Own labels and his $10 million gift to Kenyon College. Then she saw a film clip from Cool Hand Luke and her jaw dropped. She had had no idea how gorgeous he was. It says a lot about a man that his good works overshadowed his Adonis-like looks! I hope that his wonderfully-lived life serves as an inspiration to all of us.

I like and buy his products. I originally bought them not because of him as an actor but I had heard the money went to charities. Turns out they were great taste and value, and we kept buying them.

Omigod, I forgot to mention the Limeade. It is addictively delicious.

Doesn’t McDonalds also serve Newmans Own coffee? I love their products…never had a bad one. AND that the profits went to some incredible charities was just the icing on the cake. Paul Newman was very generous with his time, and his money. My personal favorite is the balsamic vinegrette.

Before I made all of my own salad dressing, I used to buy Newman’s Own. It was pretty good for bottle dressing, and I also loved the idea behind giving all of the profits to various charities.
I admired him very much for that.

All of the Newman’s Own products I’ve eaten have been excellent and of exceptional quality.

I didn’t grow up in a salad-eating family, but on those rare occasions my family served salad (for special holiday dinners or for company), it was accompanied by one of my maternal grandmother’s homemade salad dressings. I have never found any brand of commercial salad dressing as good as my late grandmother’s salad dressing, with one exception: Newman’s Own.

I possess a “cast iron” stomach, and I love spicy food, including tomato-based pasta sauce. Homemade pasta sauce made from fresh tomatoes and other fresh ingredients never bothers me, no matter how spicy that homemade sauce might be. However, all commercial brands of tomato-based pasta sauces and foods containing tomato-based sauces–with the exception of Newman’s Own–give me prompt, severe, and long-lasting heartburn, followed intestinal cramps and diarrhea. (Sorry about the graphic description, but Newman’s Own is the only producer of tomato-based sauces and sauce-containing products which not only taste “homemade,” but also don’t make me sick. If anyone else reading this post reacts the same way to commercial tomato-based sauce products, try Newman’s Own products; they might “agree with” you, too.)

I think the Newman’s Own Foundation will prove to be Paul Newman’s primary career legacy. I hope the Newman’s Own food company survives and thrives without him, although I don’t doubt that corporate raiders are already circling, with their beady eyes fixed, sharpened talons poised, and greedy beaks snapping. I read an unconfirmed report that Newman’s 49-year-old daughter, Nell (who holds a degree in Human Ecology from College of the Atlantic), will be taking over the reins of Newman’s Own. I wish her good luck; in these “here today-gone tomorrow” economic times, she’ll need it.

I like the Sockarooni pasta sauce, the salsas have all been excellent. I’m not a big fan of store bought salad dressing, but his are fine. I’ve never tried the cookies, I was afraid they might taste healthy, but maybe I should. I haven’t seen the ginger ones.

LOL …:D

The salad dressings are good!

Haven’t tried the cookies, but have seen them in the “health food” section at the grocery store. Think I’ll try the ginger ones…and the fig newman’s.

He was in some of my favorite movies.

I usually don’t buy salad dressing from the store (I make my own), but I keep Newman’s Own balsamic on hand to use when I’m out of EVOO or I’m too lazy to make my own vinaigrette. I also like the Newman’s own spicy, tomato pasta sauce and the marinara sauce. They are lower in fat than many of the other store-brand sauces.

I have a hard time finding my favorite Newman’s salad dressings - I have to go to stores I don’t usually frequent. My favorite is the Ranch (MSG-free) but I like the Southwest Ranch that McD’s uses, but have never seen that in a bottle.

I like all his products that I’ve tried–trust me, the cookies taste like cookies and the virgin limeade is divinely tart! His daughter Nell is delightful and I feel sure the company will carry on. What a great guy!

I really like the Pinneapple salsa.

They don’t test very good if they’re served in a Silver Chalice.
