<p>I started buying Newman’s salad dressings because they are all natural. I try to avoid artificial colors and flavors when I can. Newman’s products taste great – better tasting than many products that only use natural ingredients. I also have tried pretzels, mints, cookies – they have all been good. Plus many of his products are available in regular grocery stores, so don’t have to schlepp to the health food store to buy them.</p>
<p>Plus they have amusing stuff on the labels.</p>
<p>While passing the Newman’s Own Vinagrette this evening, I commented that Paul Newman had died. Thinking of this thread, I said “You know, some people think that he will be more famous for his food chain than he will be for his work as an actor”. D says ‘He was an ACTOR?’. </p>
<p>Made me feel very old,she has never seen him in a movie.</p>
<p>That’s too bad, KC, we got The Sting on Netflix this summer and the kids really enjoyed it.</p>
<p>We’ve watched “Cool Hand Luke” and “Butch Cassidy” with the kids in the past. They really liked both.</p>

<p>Another Sockarooni Pasta Sauce fan here. Passed it up yestserday for cheaper brand, not happy with results.</p>
<p>Found those ginger cookies yesterday in the organic/natural food section of a store. They *are *good. Bit expensive but I was able to justify it to myself because I had gone by our Starbucks, which only opened January, to get a drink and they have closed 
. Knew they were on the list but we (and they) were hoping for a reprieve. Anyway figured I could justify spending $5 on a box of cookies as I saved almost that on my lack of a caffeine fix.</p>
<p>One of our local supermarkets had a standalone freezer section with his pizzas. Perhaps they were putting them out in remembrance. Never tried his pizzas. Will have to someday.</p>
<p>I never knew his company made pizzas. The ginger cookies are especially good, BTW, if you put two sides together which have the creme on top (= double stuff ginger cookie). Yum!!!</p>
<p>I had a look last night - there’s four cheese thin crust, no nitrite pepperoni (I don’t eat pepperoni) and I think a veggie blend.</p>
