DramaMama2021 Do you recall when your D was notified of result?
I just realized that a few of the colleges have decision dates a week before the end of March, this means nonrefundable deposit as well. This kind of put us in a pickle.
That is surprising. I don’t know of any college that requires an enrollment deposit before May 1. Housing deposits are another story, but I won’t steer too far into that discussion. Are you sure you understand the requirements of the other schools your kid is considering? Just because decisions are released does not mean you need to accept/deny before May 1.
In the past, the Johnson Scholars were notified the week before the RD decision release.

The deposit is for activities that the kids must attend before beginning of the Fall semester. The requirements to join them are first enrollment deposit has to be paid, and the offer of admission accepted.
I thought schools would have changed the dates due to the FAFAS issue this year, as most families would be waiting to hear the fin aid before making their decisions…

Wow. That is ridiculous, especially since you say they are nonrefundable. I was not aware some schools did that. I understand why that is frustrating.

My daughter was in Lexington (2022) for the Johnson weekend March 6-8, and they offered their scholarships the evening of the 18th. We were at an accepted student weekend at another school when they came out, so I just went back to check my calendar

I just saw on the school social media page that this was Johnson interview weekend. I hope your kids enjoyed their time on campus.

S24 is done and is on his flight home now. He is exhausted and said he hope he did well because he was not in his 100%. 
Supposedly they will announce the result on the 15th this year. Wish every kid best of luck!

D24 is on her way home too! Had a wonderful time. Very tired, tons of catch-up homework, but would do it again anytime. She loved every minute of it!!!

It was so nice seeing everyone on campus! I may not have formally met everyone, but at least we have our “(Dwyane the Rock) Johnson” group chat to stay in contact!! Would do it again in a heartbeat!!

Did they provide contact info on all the finalists so you guys can stay in touch? They did my D’s year, but that was the Covid remote year so not sure that’s typical. She’s still friends with several of those kids, even ones who ended up at other schools. In fact, she traveled in Czeck Republic with one. So you never know what long-term friendships may result.

Wait until after tomorrow and most likely you can. I’m fairly certain the person who mentioned they were able to register now was accepted ED.

Thank god such a relief if that’s true. I was in shock since we were told that we’re basically in even if we don’t get the scholarship– Im an Intl who needs aid so anything is possible tho. But we were told that we’re in
