Hi! Robloxbesties-- what school did your son apply to? My son also just got in ED1 to study Biophysics.

My son will be in Arts & Sciences too. Glad he can find what area of stem he wants to dive into when he’s there. Said so far he has connected with a lot of Olin admits
meanwhile, I predict a text in late August from him saying something like, “literally everyone here is premed.”

Hi can you tell me where are they connecting because the instagram for 2028 is not active yet

I can only assume it’s been through various social media platforms
Snapchat, Insta, Zeemee, Reddit likely shared a discord. Didn’t want to get in his new space and ask too many questions.

I was deferred EDI as a biochemistry major on the pre-med track.

GPA 4.0 UW/4.14 W, 1540 SAT, 10 APs (5s on all).

Extracurriculars are solid but nothing crazy: medical service trip to Belize, president and founder of healthcare careers and Red Cross clubs, published an article in JHU’s Pre-Collegiate Global Health Review, tutored in English and math, student government, attended a molecular biology of cancer workshop.

Awards are also solid but nothing crazy: National merit semifinalist, AP scholar with distinction, Cum Laude, and several school awards (biology award, highest honor roll)

I feel that based on what you’ve shared, you are still an incredibly competitive candidate during RD round.

Do students from your high school often enroll in WashU?
Did you submit all optional supplemental items?

How do you feel your recommenders described you in their letters?

Yes, I submitted the optional essay, and plan on submitting the video as additional material before the regular decision round. About 1-2 students from my school typically enroll in WashU every year. I feel as though my recommendation letters were likely very strong, since I have a great relationship with both teachers.

What is your daughter’s background? Thanks.

Joymomjoymom- just saw your message (I’m not really familiar with all the aspects of CC.) . Please resend the direct message as I’m happy to share!

I was deferred EDI for PNP, I was wondering if perhaps I should change my intended major? Someone suggested I do so but I’m not sure if that’s the best idea.

If you want to connect the kids-- let me know!

Anyone got interview for ed2 ? Thank you

iirc –– you need to schedule those interviews yourself. i did mine after a student-led tour; signed up online and was informed of my time. (i’m assuming you’re asking if anyone has been selected for interview? if not, ignore me.)
