***WashU Class of 2020 RD Applicant Thread***

Just sent a request for the multicultural visit. Can’t believe it’s all free, really sets the tone for what kind of school WashU is.

@52balletvieta, did P ask your parents tax return recently if you applied for FA (and got deferred at SCEA. I feel your passion with ballet that only can be your hobby even you are in P.

IN!
CAS, Pol Sci/IR

SAT: 2220 one sitting, 2240 superscore
IB predicted 41/45

My D got the acceptance today. On her portal, this shows up.

•We are pleased to award you a travel grant to visit Washington University during Spring Preview 2016. This grant will provide your airfare within the United States.

Is this provided for all admitted students? It also mentioned that this will fill up soon. Is there a limit of space for this grant offer?

@J2H239 I don’t believe they have? I think my parents had already submitted an updated tax return. How about you?

D accepted !! Her stats are- 4.3 W, SAT 1560/1600, 2280/2400, National Hispanic Scholar, National Merit Finalist, EC include playing cello at highest level orchestra at high school, writing poetry, tutoring and performance art, AP Scholar ( English Lang 5, Calculus AB 5 (Calc BC 5), Psych 5, World History 4). Did not apply to scholarships but did visit and interview. I did not visit with her but her father was with her and told me it was a lovely campus and the staff were attentive, welcoming and invested in the students.

4.0 UW GPA/34 ACT, visited and interviewed, WAITLISTED. HAHAHAHHAHAHA

@52balletvieta, my S applied to P for RD. P asked our tax return couple days ago. Do not lose hope, I remember both your scores and ECs are good. I believe you will end up a nice school with pursuing your ballet passion.

@J2H239 Ah, I see. Best wishes to your S!! Thank you again!

Accepted to Sam Fox for Art, ACT 34; SAT 2210. I will post my full stats eventually!

Congrats to everyone who got in, and for those who didn’t-- don’t let this get you down! You are amazing and no college decision can change that. Good luck to everyone with future results!

Accepted into CAS
Poli Sci Major

waitlisted at this scrub school smh

so spring preview is with a student, anyone know what multicultural is with?

i feel like if you wanna get a true feel of what campus is “really” like then you should go spring preview, as multicultural sounds like a more staged event

any thoughts?

2360 SAT 3.75 GPA UW from well-known prep school. Waitlisted. :frowning:

Accepted to A&S w/ ACT 33, UW GPA 4.0, W GPA 5.2
Congrats everyone and Go Bears!

Is it possible to attend both Multicultural Weekend and Spring Preview, or do we have to choose one?

@lightsy you have to choose one is my understanding.

@hcg100 Congrats getting into Architecture. The acceptance rate for last years Architecture’s class was around 14%!!!

I called the admissions office and they said they will only pay for one. The lady also said you won’t miss out on anything either way. Penn’s Quaker Days conflict with Multicultural though, so if anyone’s expecting to visit Penn for that, I’d go with Spring preview

I want to extend a big congratulations to @TheWaffleMan149. I told you it would pull through if you were patient. For those who were waitlisted, the fight is not over yet. You’re still in the running. For those rejected, it’s all going to work out. I promise.
