Congrats! Does anyone know if there’s a correlation between acceptance to Fly-in and acceptance to university?

I just emailed my regional admissions officer, hopefully I’ll find out :))

In general for most fly-ins, if a student is accepted, the admissions office sees them as a strong & competitive applicant for the institution, and it ends there. Being accepted at a college would be dependent on the other applicants, yield rates, and a lot more. There isn’t a direct correlation to being accepted, but it may show that the Institution believes you’re well qualified.

I was accepted to the two institutions I did fly-ins to, but one of my friends who was also at one of the fly-ins was waitlisted and not admitted.

Thanks! My daughter did not get into the WashU preview but her letter said “We think you are a good fit for WashU” and got invited to some virtual events. We shall see what happens with the college application.
