I got in!! Also I indicated need for aid so I don’t think it’s because people said they needed financial assistance that they are seeing a delay.

DD got in as Music major. I guess her >700 word LOCI helped.
My DD got in today. She is very happy. She received the email this past Wed.
I got the email last week but have yet to receive a decision. I am not sure where I could have gone wrong, as I sent in a LOCI (and some people got in without even doing that), visited and interviewed at campus, and maintained communication with my counselor. Does anybody have any idea why WashU is doing this? Why would they tell me good news and proceed to never follow up on it? I had a theory that asking for need aid was the reason why I have yet to receive a response, but somebody has already debunked that so now I don’t know what the reasons could be. Any ideas at all?
I just got the RESPONSE NEEDED email today and filled out the form and submitted it (I think). When you all did this, did you get some sort of confirmation that they received your form? My portal looks the same…

You all need to keep in mind that these may not be “waves” as such and that each department is likely trying to fill their own numbers. So, Wave 1 vs. Wave 2 vs. Wave 3 might not even be for the same departments. I wouldn’t read too much into what you are hearing from other people.
@parishaadil I think stat is not as important at this point.
More of what Major or schools have more spots to fill.
In LOCI, list your achievement from application to now. Like better GPA, score, awards, activities etc.
State that WashU is your number 1 choice if that is the case.
Also state why washu is Perfect for you, and What you can bring to the campus.
DD wrote a >700 LOCI covered all the above.

Got the “interest form” as well. One day after I sent a brief EC update into portal. Not sure if I would attend WashU but might stick around just to see if they can offer aid (if they match my current choice I’d attend). Btw, I applied for Beyond Boundaries and CAS as backup.
