I thought Quinn’s vision of her future was way out of character. She’s always been portrayed as shrewd, driven, bright and talented–and she’s utterly gorgeous. What would keep her out of college? Or Hollywood, for that matter? (Of course we don’t know if she’s still been banished by her parents or where she’s been living for the past season, since that story line was dropped, like so many others.)

^ actually in last week’s episode, when Quinn was with Finn, I think she said something about having a lot of time to be together because her mother was at work…so she must be back home.

Her plans to stay in town with Finn do not surprise me. She is ambitious in the HS, but I sense she is a “big fish, little pond” type and knows it. Doesn’t seem very academic, but now that I think of it not many of the Glee kids do.

I think Quinn’s notion is success is very much limited by what she sees around her - she may be ambitious and clever, but she can only channel that thus far into what is deemed appropriate by her family and culture. She expects to be just like everyone else - go to a local college, marry her high school sweetheart and raise a solid middle-class Christian family.

It’s something really all the characters on Glee probably feel internally, Rachel and Kurt being the exceptions. Quinn is just expressing it the most poignantly currently.

Hard for us on CC to believe, but there are still schools where few students are college bound. I have some 44 first cousins and maybe 7 or 8 of us went to college. There are probably more college bound kids in the next generation but I doubt if it’s 50%.

I thought I remember Quinn’s mother leaving her father and asking Quinn to move home again with her. I also agree that her vision of her future is way more common that HYP - too much time on CC has warped our sense of reality ;)

I thought Quinn’s vision of her future was spot on. I live in a small Ohio town and trust me, being prom queen, becoming a successful real estate agent, and marrying the prom king who goes on to be a business owner would be consider hugely successful. Quinn is also smart enough to recognize that Rachel is different - she has a different level of talent and different dreams - and those difference will lead her to leave Lima.

What, no comments on the most recent episode of Glee??

I thought at least the parents could have shown up for the benefit performance…

good point fendrock… I did see the Holly Will breakup coming. Thought it was a great insight into Emma’s OCD. Enjoyed the numbers, looking forward to next week’s 90 minute episode.

Yes, it is amazing that the parents wouldn’t show up for the benefit! Of course, the world of Glee is not the real world. <g> I’d like to meet Rachel’s dads some day, I must say…</g>

I figured that the Will/Holly thing couldn’t last simply because Paltrow isn’t going to be available or affordable for them on a really regular basis.

I liked the fact that they reintroduced the closeted football player. I think that that story line has a lot of potential.

I loved it!!!

Has anyone seen the new Shoe Carnival ad? They stole it from Glee. Remember that Singing in the Rain/Under My Umbrella song where they danced in water on the stage?

I only watch sporadically – have they ever shown Rachel’s dads? If so, anyone I’d know?

I remember one of the first episodes showed a picture of them :)

What is the name of the girl who sang “All By Myself”? She is amazing!

I think her name is Charice. She did some type of PSA immediately after the episode and I think that’s the name that was listed. I thought she did a beautiful job on what has always been one of my favorite songs (old teenage angst )

She is actually a real singer. You can look her info up on the Internet, she’s amazing!

There are clips of next weeks songs online, and they are amazing.

Oh Yay! Kurt is back. I really missed his solo singing.

Love Kurt.

Love “Born This Way”.

What the heck was that “Streisand” song?

Loved the shirts
