mimk6 - If you have auditioned and are called back that is the time the director would normally have you sing from the show and read sides (lines).

Did Kurt REALLY think he had a shot at Tony?

Who is left that isn’t graduating? (besides Blaine)

What is the purpose of the Sugar character? To bring back Idina Menzel?

Even with that information, Kurt’s song choice was bizarre. If he wanted to show he could play Tony, he should have picked a leading man song, not a Streissand comedic song.

My son and I loved last night’s episode. I thought it was one of the best in the show’s history. We love that they are doing a musical which gives them something to do besides show choir. Both my son and I agree that we have a new favorite character. Mike just zoomed past everyone else into our top spot. Why have they been hiding him all this time? He can act, he can sing, and he can dance like no one’s business. The scene with his mother made me cry.

I didn’t buy Mercedes playing Maria over Rachel any more than I bought Kurt playing Tony over Blaine. Maria is an ingenue and Mercedes isn’t the ingenue type.

Agree that Mike is amazing! I could watch Brittney & Mike dance for the whole show! No one would have to sing :-).

Wasn’t the thing with Emma’s parents so weird? gingers?

Did anyone else notice that Emma’s father was Ralph the Mouth from Happy Days?

I noticed! I wasn’t even looking at the TV, but I knew that voice. I thought the “gingers segment” was pretty ridiculous.

I know that we aren’t supposed to pay a lot of attention to the plot - but why do all these kids who are supposed to be at the bottom of the social ladder, who get slushies thrown on them, think they have a shot at being senior class president?

I didn’t love the episode. I think that first having Quinn flake out and now Mercedes seems forced and the whole adding a second glee club line seems like a precursor to more stress and strain. These kids should be worrying about SAT’s, no?

A- = Asian F. Mike’s parents are, no doubt, on CC!!

Good show tonight. I like that the obnoxious story lines that Sue has…actually came back to reality…

What happens when they don’t graduate this year? Or do they? How is it going to work?

They are going to graduate. There are new kids being brought in…

They’ve indicated that (assuming that they don’t manage to get a spin-off together by next year) they will keep Lea Michele and Chris Colfer at minimum on the show. So I don’t think those two are getting into NYADA.

They might not be getting in, anyway. Supposedly the school admits 20 people. I absolutely love Kurt, but I think he has about a zero chance. At least Rachel usually sings lead in competitions and had the lead in the play.

Did you read that the supposedly Broadway bound revival of *Funny Girl *has been postponed indefinitely? The article I read said that revivals really need a “star” and that Lauren Ambrose (slated to play Fanny) did not have the name recognition to draw crowds.

So…Lea Michele will be finished shooting *Glee *in a few months, paving the way for her to be Fanny. Wouldn’t that be perfect?!

I just watched the West Side Story episode of Glee on Hulu. Absolutely loved it.

Missypie, I would watch that Funny Girl. Of course, I love Lauren Ambrose as well, so I was sad to read that it was on hold.

Any thoughts about last nights episode?

Really enjoyed Coach Beast and her song “Jolene”. She has such pretty eyes and it was breaking my heart to see her in pain over losing her boyfriend to Sue.

Overall enjoyed the music.
