I don’t, but I also don’t think that the show is portraying the engagement as a good thing. They were using that relationship as an example of gross kissing this episode. That wedding is not going to happen.

No, kids don’t get married right out of high school. I have never known why Finn has never thought he had options…or rather, the one and only option was playing football for Ohio State. First season, they were “Lima Losers.” But one is going to Yale. If the GC is a strong character in the show, why no more explanation of options.

A late comment: I loved that Will was a bad Spanish teacher. I think because my Freshman French teacher was so bad. She even ADMITTED that when she went to France, no one could understand her.

I have missed several episodes this season, and am trying to catch the most recent ones online. In the Spanish teacher one, Kurt is talking to Finn and says something about Finn finding out who his father really is. What was that about?

Finn was talking about following his father’s footsteps and going to the military. His mother tells him that that his father didn’t die in Iraq, he died of a drug problem. Finn is upset that she didn’t tell him sooner, but Carole claims that she wanted to wait until he was ready and she told him that he died in Iraq as not to tarnish his memory.

Actually some kids do get married right out of HS- D had a classmate who did and I know of a few others. And I live in a suburban area. I kind of “get” that Finn probably grew up dreaming of playing football for Ohio State, but not really seeing himself actually being a college student and never really considering a college as a place to get an education.
It is interesting that these kids don’t seem to have “safety schools”. They must not be on cc.

Thanks, sybbie. I definitely missed that episode. For some reason, I always forget to watch.

Also remember that the school that Rachel and Kurt are applying to supposedly admits 20 people per year.

Tonight’s episode really hit home. I just found out yesterday that a friend had committed suicide last week. Even though I had not seen him in several years (he and his wife had moved out of town), we were facebook friends. We mainly knew each other through our kids’ activities, but I was still shocked and saddened to learn this. He seemed to have it all together. Just goes to show we never know what’s going on in someone’s head and should be kind no matter what. I think this episode states that message well, but I still cried through half of it! Must be hormones. LOL

Wow, I don’t think I’ll forget that last scene.

Was looking forward to tonight’s episode-Univ of Redlands students (from 2008) are supposed to be the voices on one song. I guess there is something sad?

Musicmom-sorry

Not wanting to spoil the plot for West Coast folks, but they sure crammed a LOT of plot, and a lot of current issues, into one episode.

Though have to say we saw the Karofsky plot line coming long ago, when we were first introduced to his dad…

lots of real story lines in between the songs tonight. Not sure where they are going w Sue, however.

Please, I want side airbags that save

WOW- what an episode!!

I didn’t have my glasses on at the end. Did the “to be continued” say the next episode is April 10??? Good grief. How are we supposed to wait that long?

Very moving episode and difficult to watch.

I am reminded again why Kurt is a a favorite of mine.

Such a devastating episode. I couldn’t fall asleep last night.

I do find it odd that after not seeing Rachel’s dads all along that they are suddenly so present. They should have integrated family sooner into the show. Also, we found the music to be very bland at regionals compared to other competition events.

mimk6, +1 on both points!

DougBetsy, I did not see anything except “to be continued,” but I was watching live TV. Maybe someone who DVRed it can check and see what else it said.

watched it from the DVR and that was it. Then cutaway to promo that Glee resumes in April.
