my club desperately needs money. anyone got any ideas besides a bake sale or car wash?

Bribe affluent white people of high social rank to donate to your cause. That’s what my student council does.

what my school does:

Movie night. Club members mass invite everyone on facebook to watch a movie. The movie is free but then you sell food like pizza, chips, and drinks.

Start a performance. My class started a talent show and it actually works! Just don’t call it a “talent show” and keep the environment fun instead of competitive. People sing, dance, play guitar, play piano, and do magic tricks… and our school loves it! Our talent shows sells out tickets every year (600+) and people have to stand.

It’s important to use facebook instead of word of mouth to get people involved.

I like the movie night idea. I might try that one. And I might try bribing some rich guys too.

Any more ideas?

What kind of club is this?

In the past, we’ve applied for grant requests from local organizations, who were very receptive.

We make all kinds of shipments to other countries. We need the money for transporting the stuff.

[Try this](<a href=“Kickback (bribery) - Wikipedia”>Kickback (bribery) - Wikipedia)

There are companies that sell boxes of candy with large selections. Argh, of course I can’t remember the company my school usually works with (if you really care I can ask Monday), but pretty each member gets a box of candy and they sell the contents for a dollar. The main problem is you have to start with money(to buy the boxes initially) to make money.

There are rotary clubs, where you can present your club’s cause maybe through a nice powerpoint and some talking. These people are usually nice enough to give you something.

This is sort of similar to a bake sale, but your club could sell store bought muffins/pizza/almost anything else that your school would let you before and after school. I know my school allows it but again the rules for your school are probably different.

Tell the members that they get a cut of all donations.

Watch donations pour in.

Defraud members.

Profit!!
