We are the terrible, horrible, no good..

Domestic violence, apparently. Don’t know the details; don’t want to know the details.

baseballmom,

your neighbors also seem like a real piece of work !

Where do they get the idea that they can cut down your trees or leave their dog’s poop on your driveway? Especially after it is clear that you are on to them? Some people shouldn’t be allowed to have pets (or children, for that matter).

Sounds like a house of horrors that’s creating another generation of the same.

Maybe the parents are wringing the kids neck for doing something so very stupid.

Well, apparently the father and the oldest boy next door have moved over the river to Kentucky. I’m not sure why, but I am not going to be asking the neighbor any questions! I have also noticed that their dogs have been out a lot less lately.

Yippee!!! Two down, how many to go??

(That’s very evil of me to gloat over others’ problems.)

But, Yippee!

Maybe the son needed to get out of state so the OH folks would leave him alone.

^ I think the word you are looking for is schadenfreude. ;)

Maybe the mom kicked them out.

Is this the kid that was caught breaking and entering? Leaving the state probably keeps him one step ahead of the law.

^^^but if this kid was charged, couldn’t that mean he’s on the lam and could get into even more trouble!?!?

True. Was he charged? I forget. Of course this family doesn’t sound like the most law-abiding bunch…

The good news is, It’s not our problem.

Update–

So, my neighbors are still hating on me. Apparently we are the cause of all their problems.Their oldest son now wears a device on his ankle–we are ruining his life. The husband/dad had a road rage incident and is in trouble too.

So–our most recent incident:

A couple of weeks ago, the mom came over to demand that we replace their little girl’s pink sneakers, because she stepped in some doo-doo in our back yard. I’m not sure why she was in our back yard–but around here all the yards are unfenced (property restrictions) and the back of our property is a wooded ravine, and we have lots and lots of critters around here–lots of deer, and coyotes, and foxes…all wandering through our yard.

Our dog is a 9 lb. papillon. Her poopies are tootsie roll sized. We pick them up and flush them down the toilet.

Believe me, the mess on that pink sneaker was not from our doggie. And in any event, why was the girl in our yard? (yes, lots of kids cut through all the back yards, and it doesn’t bother us a bit. But it’s not like we invited her to come over and play).

My guess is that she either stepped in a pile from their own three dogs that are out all the time, or that she stepped in a pile from the deer.

At any event, I declined to pay for the shoes.

The funny part of the story? She went to another neighbor on the cul de sac (the one that I often walk dogs with) with the same story–that her daughter had been crossing their back yard and stepped in a pile and she wanted to be reimbursed for the shoes.

My guess is that the little girl is afraid to get in trouble in her volatile family and so told her mom she stepped in the pile in someone else’s yard. I can’t imagine why it would make a difference, and it’s only a guess…but then I can’t imagine going around asking other people to replace my child’s shoes even if she had stepped in a pile on their property.

At any rate, she is now mad at my dog-walking neighbor too.

Severe personality disorder. Or just plain crazy. I’d be flabbergasted if someone who owns three dogs told me that their kid stepped in poop in MY yard. And wants ME to pay for the shoes? (How about the mom washing the shoes?)
Only response should be, “Keep your kid out of my yard.”

(Now saying prayer of thanks for my quiet, ordinary, and not-so-crazy neighbors.)

Beyond belief. Makes you wonder what planet they are from. I feel bad for the little girl.

Why do you even answer the door when these whackos come a callin?? Other than for some spurious entertainment value (if you can laugh at their pathos) this stuff is simply outrageous. I’d have had half a mind to reply with “be thankful I am not charging her with trespassing”.

Do they have pointed, bald heads? Do they drink beer and eat “fried chicken embryos” for breakfast? They sound like a family I used to watch on SNL.

The coneheads were lovely people. These must be their evil twins.

The coneheads were, at least, very friendly and trying to fit in.

Oh, gosh. Hugs to you. This is some serious mental illness going on.

My first reaction to the stepping-in-dog-poop story was, You throw them in the washing machine. Problem solved.

I guess it’s “nice” to know you’re not the only target of their illness. That’s the only “nice” I can see out of this story, however.

Good point.
