Well…two of us went shoe shopping today. We were both looking for Silver, scrappy sandal type shoes with a 2-2 1/2 inch heel. Let’s just say…we didn’t find anything…yet!
Zappos. Nordstroms. Just sayin’ . . . .
I was at Nordstrom, Nordstrom Rack, DSW, Macy’s, Lord and Taylor, and Penney’s today.
I had looked on Zappos to see some options…glad to see the shoes IN PERSON…as shoes that do NOT bend are not something I want to own. I saw the ones I saw on Zappos…and am glad I didn’t waste my time ordering them…stiff as a board.
Luckily…I have shoes…I was just hoping for new ones…
In had Munro silver sandals. The heel height was less than 2", but they were among my most comfortable shoes.
Anyway, I’ll keep my eyes open.
I saw Munro Silver sandals…they were a little too casual looking for my purposes.
I want a fancy shoe…not a regular sandal with silver on top.
Anyway…I’m thinking the ones in my closet are perfect. They are WAYYYYYY better than anything i saw yesterday.
For anyone still looking, however, check out shoes by J. Renee. Very nice online anyway…don’t know if they bend…because we didn’t see any in person. Nordstrom salesperson suggested this brand…and when looking online, there were a couple that looked nice!
Not posting these for thumper - but for anyone else looking for gorgeous silver shoes.
Gorgeous, emilybee. I could never wear that toe, nor pay that price, but those are definitely upscale from my Munros
Aren’t they stunning! I wish I needed silver shoes for one of the 4 wedding I have this spring/summer.
Any suggestions for shoes (sandals are ok) for an outdoor summer wedding- wearing (most likely) a navy dress and have to keep the heel low as I am not so sure my hopefully-healed broken ankle will tolerate anything more than a low heel. The Macy’s sandals are a possiblity. The saks shoes are not my taste.
I second J Renee.
I wore the style Slader in Iridescent (bronze to purple-ish) with my Eggplant-ish dress to my son’s wedding.
Very low heeled dressy shoe.
I’m good for shoes…but the friend i went shopping with ordered two J. Renee pairs of stray silver sandals.
@jym626 do you need a heel at all? We saw some nice just regular dressy sandals…or you could even do a ballet flat with some support. Look at the brand Me Too. They have cute flats…lots of styles…and colors.
I will probably want a small heel. I am short enough as it is!
You lucky, lucky ladies who can wear the gorgeous shoes you are sharing. I never could wear heels, even when I was 115 pounds and had great knees. I couldn’t even make it in a nice pair of wedges for ods’s wedding. LOL. I wore a cute pair of silver flat sandals for comfort’s sake.
If one, just one person who was there gave a hoot they sure didn’t tell me. I would have been waaaaaay more noticeable limping around on a pair of uncomfortable shoes.
Agreed…I seriously doubt anyone is going to be looking at my shoes.
My sister wore a lovely pair of rhinestone bedecked zoris (slippers) for her wedding. She was very happy AND comfortable, no limping!
I just spent more on a pr of shoes than I have ever in my life. I had a Nordstrom’s giftcard so that helped with part of it, but still…
These are for some upcoming events as a wedding attendee. Given that I am still cautious because of my broken ankle, and one event is outdoors, I wanted a lower but wider heel, but not ugly heel., I bought these https://shop.nordstrom.com/s/agl-cutout-pump-women/4506190?country=US¤cy=USD&cm_mmc=google--shopping_ret--662927176-_-33067288069_cea48b6f-ac2f-465d-b840-38df46e9cfe9&cm_mmca1=pla-260614189356_13598909&gclid=EAIaIQobChMI4ZnFj4Xg2QIVxUsNCh0dZgCJEAQYAiABEgKNDvD_BwE
I am considering these for my MOG dress, but didn’t have time to try them on

Jym - love those AGL pumps. Simple, elegant. Perfect.
@jym626, the MOG shoes are the ones I have and I’m pretty positive @thumper1 has them also.
Very comfortable, wait for a friends and family sale at Macy’s. I got them for 25% off, bridal isn’t usually included but is during F&F.
The AGL pumps look classic and timeless. Perfect and you’ll wear them for years.
Another brand that makes comfy pumps that don’t look like clogs is Paul Green. Very foot friendly!

I do have those shoes! In Silver…the Nina. They aren’t the most comfortable shoes I own, but they are fine. I’m not wearing those to my wedding.
Those are nice nude pumps. Pricey…but nice.
